I played it this morning for about an hour before I decided to do something else.

It's alright, but its just too damn hard to do much better than bronze.

I submit that the difficulty of L4D depends entirely on how good your teamates are. Has this changed in this new mode, or did you solo it up?

One AI as a blank slate for a friend to join, 1 friend who was good enough to weather a campaign on expert, one who beat all campaigns on Expert and got the 53000 kills achievement, and me who is okay (but I don't like L4D much, so therefore, I don't play enough to develop skill), and we still couldn't survive for more than 5 minutes.

Difficulty=They send in a tank every 45 seconds or so...

Christ. Well, at least the people who bitched about the game being too easy before have no reason to complain anymore

I'm actually excited, as I think L4D will constantly get bigger and better, a la Team Fortress 2.

EDIT: They'll likely tweak the difficulty level pretty quickly, I'd imagine.

Team Fortress 2 didn't get better for us console players.

Let me guess......Microsoft charges players who own the Xbox 360 version but PC players get it for free, right? Well i don't actually know if or not this is the case but it would be typical Microsoft who want to charge for most everything, including background themes........

No it's surprisingly free.

Team Fortress 2 didn't get better for us console players.

It will shortly. They're releasing all the updates thus far in some kind of shmorgasborg, last I heard. So you'll get it, just not as quickly as the PC gamers.

And I think that's only due to Valve being sorta new to console DLC. When they get a good grip on it, things'll get better for everyone.

Well, if I had a half decent PC, I wouldn't even play Team Fortress 2 or L4D...you know why? I'd have access to Oblivion's mod community...I've played it for 2500+ hours and that was just the 360 version.

Yes its out, and to be honest I don't like it.
I love survival mode but the melee fatigue is way to annoying.It only gives you like 5 hits.

IS that what it is, i thought it was a glitch. Damn that means it wont change.

The survival mode is challenging. The best we've managed to do so far is get a silver medal on the hospital lift level. Eventually just hunters outnumbered us and 2 tanks were spawning every minute or so. It is great fun but not something you can play for hours on end.

some people could, beating your time can be addictive

I was up until five in the am playing it.... Survival Mode is pretty sweet.... placed 42 overall on the leaderboards (Blood Harvest - Warehouse map), but I'm sure I've been knocked down since then... Lighthouse is a fun map, I like all the gas cans and propane tanks they give you.....

The survival mode is only good if you have 3 friends to play with. There is no new campaigns just added the dead air and blood harvest to versus mode.

The DLC is not fun. The two new versus maps ok but the new survior mode is a punishment, not fun!

its out but the new mode is WAY too hard anyway the new maps for versus are good.

People complain games are too easy...something hard comes up and people complain its to hard.

There's just no way to make everyone happy. I happen to be the type that prefers some challenge in his games myself.
