I have the lambs to slaughter, got it as a hunter by pouncing a player who was incapped in the safe room but when he was lifted up by his teammate he ended up just outside the door.

Is that like an in game joke, or is it just a really specific number?

In Dead Rising you can get the Zombie Genocider achievement by killing 53,594 (I might be off by one, I don't recall) - the population of the city in which the events of the game take place. In other words, you killed ALL the zombies (oddly enough, this doesn't actually mean there aren't any more zombies in game terms). L4D took that same achievement and added one (or two).

I could no one have got Lamb 2 the Slaughter?! I got that achievement 2 days after getting the game on the xbox!

To be fair, the odds of getting that achievement are based entirely on just how stupid the other players are. No infected has ever killed me after I made it to a safe room because there are times when it's just not worth trying to save someone. If I'm by myself and I made it to the room I'll consider opening the door if I think I have any hope of rescuing someone, since you don't really get any more points for 1 survivor than you do for 0 survivors.

Muahahahaha! I got my lamb 2 slaugther for pc and i would have gotten it some other times too...Best is to get with a tank into a saveroom and beat the survivers so they fly out. another way is clasic when your team traps three survivors than the fourth one might get out again not knowing that the infected sometimes get 3 hunters and one smoker...LEAP-CLAW-CLAW-CLAW...

I just love infected but the only achivemend i realy carte about (thos with an entire campaign are pointless) is kill 4 dead. I'm just not asshole enough to kill the other special infected when im a tank just to personaly collect all 4 kills

Got halfway to genocidist but we'll see if i get bored of versus before i hit that milestone. That achivemend is awsome because you can meassure how much l4d you have played alltogether

I only need about 8,000 more and I have the zombie genocidest. That and "what are you trying to prove" are the only ones I have left to get.

of the ones i have gotten, nothing special was a pain, as was Unbreakable. As for finishing the campaigns on expert, are there requirements to get credit for it? I have finished blood harvest on expert 4 times now, and still not gotten credit for it.

Got All 4 Dead, Back 2 help, and Outbreak. Those are the ones I'm proud of. I have seen somebody get Man vs Tank by exploiting a ledge on No Mercy (it's in the finale you jump on the railing and are able to get around behind the staircase where you hold out)

I'm pretty sure i read there was a bug stopping those two achievements from showing up. They have been done though.

I'm not one to go on about achievements but it's cool to see the stats of the entire community. It does say 0.3% beat all campaigns on expert (and survived) but I'm calling bullshit on that. Tons of people have beat them, just not in one sitting. Also I think that "Outbreak" one is a viral achievement, you pass it on in versus...which means 51% of the people have been attacked by zombies! Gah! They will kill us all!

Recent Lamb 2 slaughterer right here. I'm surprisingly cruel when it comes to playing L4D, and managed to get all infected achievements (bar Lamb) within 4 days. The tank one I did like 3 times before any of my friends could do it.

I don't play too often though since it takes time so I've not yet been blessed with an expert busting party.

Google it. It's 1 more than a dead rising achievement, which is that number because it's the code of some street (Waterloo, Wisconsin) where they annually dress up like zombies for Halloween and just wander around aimlessly.

Outbreak is a PC only achievement. There are several thoughts on how you get it, the most prevailent one was that each of the devs had it and you got it by being vomited on by a boomer. the other one is that you are the only one vomited on and you push the boomer away and kill him. it's nebulous on how you get it.

Speaking of the Dead Rising Achievement, has anyone ever achieved it?

I have. No bs, all niter with my m8 and a load of beers/snacks. Theres a circuit that leads you to each car/van/bike in sequence, so you never have to stop.

After it was done I felt numb, the full megaman suit and gun earned - just so i could kill zombies as megaman if i were to ever play it through again...and then it hit me, we could have played a different game.

Full credit to just how intense that game is and how its impossible to get the perfect finish with hostages etc.

It can be. Took 8 tries to get it. Hardest part is that taking damage from a normal infected after being boomed counts as the boomer doing the damage.
