It's a bad idea, wouldn't be shocked if some mod maker tested it tho, I mean I think there's a RTS mod even for HL2.

L4D is good as it is, and shouldn't have any sequels, spinoffs or any of that.

ok ok ok. First of all, you only have 4 players. You have like hundreds of zombies. Add in the hero unitsspecial zombies and it's completely outnumbered. Game was made for an FPS, not an RTS

im talking about you get to choose to control the army or zombie factions on maps like death toll, though a no mercy map would be too cramped

I heared they made a mod where you get to play as the director. However making a sub par RTS out of a very sucessful FPS fanchise, sounds like something Microsoft would do. A zombie based RTS could be fun but to try and tie it in with Left 4 Dead would not do justice to the original game or the RTS genera as a whole.

I think that it would be great except for the fact that the Zombies have no organization, they would not be able to have a hive and get labour and so on, or do you mean it would be more like Halo Wars? and even then I just don't see it translating, although it would be great if it did.
