I remember back long ago laying Legacy of Kain Soul Reaver on the PS1. I thought it was a great game and enjoyed every minute of it. I'm wondering if the other LoK games are worth looking into. What would you recommend?

Soul Reaver two wasn't so bad, Legacy of Defiance was pretty good, the Original Blood Omen was good. Blood Omen two was pretty Meh. If you're like most people who are at all serious about the Legacy of Kain series you likely enjoy the story and voice acting the most so I'd suggest Blood Omen, Soul Reaver, Soul Reaver 2 and Legacy of Kain Defiance. Blood Omen two was pretty meh in my opinion. Read the wiki about the story for that game.

I have so many memories of Legacy of Kain, I feel like playing them over again for the nostalgia. But im not too sure which ones were best, I kinda liked them all.

Soul Reaver 2 and Defiance are great games if you liked the first Soul Reaver,
Defiance concludes the story, plus you get to play as both the protagonists Kain and Raziel.

Before that play Blood Omen 1 (Blood Omen 2 can be good to play too but can be skipped), its old but it tells the story of Kain and his beginnings. Defiance is one of the most worthy and well executed finishes of a series ever. No game series has beaten it.

Defiance doesn't quite conclude the story... there was another one planned, but it got cancelled.

In any-case... as has been said Blood Omen, Soul Reaver, Soul Reaver 2, Defiance.

I still quite enjoyed Blood Omen 2, however I've always been a fan of Kain, more than Raziel. That said the game was still pretty meh.

Well it fills the story of Raziel and concludes it, to be specific.
Blood Omen was pretty good but has a very different gameplay that may alienate someone who has only played the Soul Reaver games.

The series has one of the most confusing storylines in gaming history and that's why I love it. It needs one more game so that...

Kain, who has finally been cleansed of Nuphraptors madness by Raziel's sacrifice, can finally return the pillars to vampire guardianship thus restoring Nosgoth's balance. He also needs to go kill the Elder God so that the wheel of fate is destroyed and true freewill is given to all life in Nosgoth. The only other loose end is the Hylden, they where trapped in the demon realm at the behest of the Elder God so could they be potential allies for Kain against the Elder God or would they remain his enemy. Then of course there's Janos Aldron whose also been trapped in the Demon Realm since the end of Blood Omen 2 and as a vampire he could be key to restoring the pillars to the vampires but he was a devout believer in the Wheel of Fate. So many things need to be resolved.

I can only hope that Eidos's good showing at E3 will lead to Square considering this series in the future.
