Right, now let's get stuff sorted. I am 16 years old, 17 on May 28th, but that's not why I'm here.

I am here because there is a specific Anime I want to order online but it is rated 18+. I am 16 years of age, completely knowing all the stuff in this world that's screwed (Thanks for that internet). I want to know if something would happen if I ordered it on my debit card, because, let's face it, I am underage and buying stuff that the ratings board has deemed me too young to see. Would I get in trouble, or have my order blocked, or something, anything.

If you have a tale that you wish to tell of this situation, then that would help.

I wouldn't risk it, Jack. If you're not of age to buy this stuff, don't try to tempt it.

This might be interpreted as aiding in an illegal action but hell. The simple answer is your order would be fine.
I was 14 when I started using my debit card on-line, incidentally something the bank assured my over protective mother and many other customers at later points when I visited the bank could not happen, you'd think ordering something from Japan and China and the USA on the same day or even the regular payments to paypal would have gotten some sort of automated system to notice something was amiss by there rules anyway.

Also 18+ anime isn't always H-anime it could be something like afro samurai which is 18, even though that's a pretty stupid rating for it.

Anyway yea I ordered many things that were above my age limit (games and movies)

The only way your order won't go through is if you have an account on the online store where you put your date of birth as under 18 or at the online checkout at some point it asks your age and you put under 18 then your order may be rejected.

I don't even think your bank has any way of telling anyone your age nor is there any system of doing so short of the shop ringing up the bank with your info to confirm your age , a step they almost certainly will not bother with.

Its like in high street stores or bars, they ask for your ID first then you pay, if you could do it via your bank info then they'd just ask you if your paying by card to try and pay.

Well, things can vary from bank to bank but most likely nothing will happen. If something does happen, the worst will be that your order will not go through.

I don't know of any dubbed but that would raise the question of why you'd want it dubbed anyway (or anything for that matter) unless your watching it for the story in which case god help you and there's only about 3 or 4 good Hentai stories anyway. (I know people who DO watch that stuff btw)

I believe it isn't illegal for you to buy it but for them to sell you it. If they sell you it your parents could give you shit but it wouldn't be illegal. The company that sold it to you is doing something illegal if my memory of laws is correct.

I personally don't buy anime but watch it streaming on legal .tv sites.

Stupid, I know, but I can't think of other solutions other then what's already been said.
