So I've played...

Secret of Mana
Sword of Mana / Final Fantasy Adventure / Mystic Quest / Square was afraid of people not playing a new series so they renamed it after a current popular series to boost sales.
Legend of Mana (obviously/topic title)
Seiken Densetsu 3

Which I loved all of, but I haven't been able to find anything similar on current gen systems.

I hated Children of Mana to throw that one out before it is suggested.

So any ideas at all would be great, thanks!

You could *maybe* say that Dragon Age: Origins is vaguely similar (in the sense of it being a real time party-based RPG), however it'd be a lot darker in tone, etc.

That's what I've thought but I wanted to ask around before giving up. I am replaying legend of mana right now anyways but current graphics or something new would be sweet.

I did play Dragonage Origins but it couldn't keep my interest.

Chrono Trigger is another good one like that; actually, I think it was made by the same people. I kind of liked it better than the mana games.

You should also try and find Soul Blazer.
I don't think you can get it on the Virtual Console yet but that was a great game made for the Super Nintendo by Enix (when that's what they were called) and is probably one of my favorite snes titles. Great story and progression.
