It certainly was an awesome game. But it tied all the knots off at the first. There is an Indie Company out there supposedly making the second one, but so far there has been nothing regarding it; probebly because Sony won't let go of the rights and they got a Cease and Desist.

Also why does there need to be a second one? Just go back and play the first one, I may even do that after im done with Pokemon, DA2 and my Anthropology Studies.

I have the game, but have not played it yet.

Gonna play it someday, along with Crono Cross. Heard lots of god things about both of 'em.

I love it. Still have it. Only PS1 game I keep with my xbox games. I never beat it, though, last boss insta-killed entire my party near the end of the boss fight.
But I still love that game. Started a new game a while ago.

Still own it. Pretty decent game. Though, after playing it a few times, my friend lent me his gameshark, and I cheated the hell out of it. couldn't sell anything once it was cheated, though, so my natural tendency to loot was tainted by my full inventory. I was most displeased.

In a world where all the WRPGs were on the PC and all JRPGs amounted to two groups of statues shooting attacks at the space in the middle and all you did was mash x until you could run to the next cutscene, there was Legend of the Dragoon, where you actually had to pay attention during battles.

The story was samey generic crap, but hey, you couldn't nap during fights.

I remember Chrono Cross. The plot kinda made my mind into mush and I thin I ended up wandering off to find something shiny by the time all was said and done. Still, awesome music score. I have a hard time thinking of a game with better opening music.

Oh hey, something shiny...
*wanders off*

EDIT: Found the song. Enjoy =)

Lavitz: GUST of WIND, DANCE. or my favorite... HARPOOOOON!
This, a million times.
I still own a copy of that game. A friend of mine ended up giving it to me after losing interested in it. Anyway, it's still one of my favorite RPG of all time, even if it has many flaws.

Gah! Judging by everyone's opinion of this game and that I love RPGs, I missed out on a really good game. Only ever saw it once at Gamestop a while back, thought it sounded interesting from the casing description despite not having a frame of reference for it, so I bought it. Thing was, it was pre-owned and the discs were so horribly scratched that I couldn't get it to read. Trading it in only got me a different game (can't remember what that one was) because that was their last copy in their PS1 game clean-out and there were no other Gamestops within 50 miles that carried it. Does it so happen to be purchasable on the PSN? If so, I'm going to buy it as soon as I get my PS3 fixed (damn yellow light of death).

?In Japan, it became available recently. America will probably get it later though. It's really cheap to order online to be honest. If you go on Amazon, they have a black label copy of the game for $35 plus shipping.

One of my favorite games of all time.

The story was amazing, the world truly immersive and the characters memorable. Things like the relation of Dart and Haschel or his dad and Rose or seeing Lavitz again like that...all of them are unsurpassed unique gaming moments that stay in your soul for ever.

I mostly remember it having absolutely nothing to do with gun-toting mounted infantry from 17th century Europe.

My friend rediscovered his collection of PlayStation games and among them was Legend of Dragoon. He started playing it and he, his girlfriend, and I tore that game to shreds a-la MST3K.

All that was missing was alcohol and that would've been an awesome Saturday night.

Yeahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh *gasp* hhhhhhhhhhhhh.

That game was awesome.

Also, I fail to see how it ripped off FFVII. Combat was very different, setting was much more classical fantasy. There's a guy with silver hair and the main character has spikey hair, but that's about it.
