I believe they should make a zelda mmo but should stay with the same formula that has worked so freaking well. just expand on the combat a little more let me know what you really think and feel free to pitch in ideas

- they could take hyrule and expand it to be huge so the game world would be bigger they have tons and tons of places to pull material from, like all the games
- you could play as several races from a zora to a hylain <-spelled wrong most likely
- use the combat system from TP or Oot just beef it up with more spells and weapons
- leveling up basically axed from the game getting more hearts is basically the same allowing you more than the standard twenty hearts
- link, and zelda are still in the game not playable

i know there are way more please give me some thoughts

Zelda just does not strike me as the MMO adaptable type...
I honestly can't say much more on the subject.

No, just no.

Although famous for crazy innovation (cel-shaded graphics, proper lock-on in a RPG) LoZ will never be an MMO. It can be a party game like Four Swords but never as anything on the same scale as most MMOs.

unfortunately, no. Zelda thrives on the story of the relationship between Link, Zelda, and Ganon, not the story of Link, Zelda, Ganon, and Ipwnn00bs87. Plus, button-mashing combat controls don't work well in an mmo.

Really it just wouldn't work while still being recognized as a part of the Legend of Zelda series. It just isn't built to be adaptable for the MMO treatment.

Short Answer: No

Long Answer: No, and I consider your argument misinformed.

Have to agree, Zelda seems to have its single-player formula down pat. Last thing we need is 100,000 13-year old twats running around naked and ruining a beloved franchise.

Terrible idea... not only does Zelda require a plot, well executed story and dramatic pacing, MMOs providing none of this, but most importantly, it is a single player affair, not everyone can be the central hero doing everything with little or no aid and that's the only possible player role in a Zelda game.

An actual plausible Zelda world based MMO would be a generic fantasy grindfest with as much charm and sophistication as an Alsatian hound after a head swap operation.

A co-op game is more plausible.

If it was announced, I would disagree. Unless it was placed in some period without Link, Zelda, Ganon, etc, and focused on the citizens fighting evils that are not so overpowered that only Link can stop them. And even then I would be VERY skeptical until I saw some actual footage.

The "Lore" of Zelda is so bland and basic that if your looking for a Legend of Zelda MMO you best install say Everquest 1/2 to get what your looking for.

Or look up Graal Online which is basically Zelda 3 the MMO.

No. Never. You're utterly wrong to have thought through such a notion. There is a cure for fantardism... go play something else and quit putting one series alone on a pedestal. (Not saying Zelda sucks, its one of my all time favorites. Not on the fantard level though. :p)

And we especially don't need another superb intellectual property jumping headlong into the over saturated fray that is the MMO market.

No, no Zelda MMORPUGER.

However, I see a viable Pokemon one, if Nintendo will ever get internet support right. Pokemon is essentially a single-player MMO.
