OT: I can find it within me to ignor them but i usually dont. The funny thing is that i hate lemonade so really its just for the kids not my thrist.

Rare for me to defend 'thhe man' but I imagine police had seen them and done nothing, and then some whiny rat who hates kids reported them, and then thepolice are forced to do something.

I blame whoever filed a report on a damn kid's stand.

Still, the best way to make money with a lemonade stand is charge 50c for the lemonade and once they've tasted it, $50 for the antidote.

I've actually done a lemonade stand before. Usually I'll stop and get a lemonade from the kids, assuming it looks decent. Having been in the position before, I give them money because I remember back when people would just ignore me doing it.

The front page story in the local news paper today was literally about how my city shut down two 12 year old boys' lemonade stand because they were selling lemonade on city property and didn't have a business license. They were raising money to buy new sports jerseys for their hockey team or something...I wish I were kidding.

when i was little i had a lemonade stand that oi set up by myself, then ALL the kids in the neighbor hood decided to walk over and sit around me. when i got home after making about 7 or so pounds, and my mum made me spit it between all the kids that were there. i was pissed.

Damn, we don't do that stuff over here. We don't do Halloween either, trick or treating barely happens. Do you know most people here consider it rude to go knocking on peoples doors and expect to be given something, none of this "it's just harmless fun for the kids attitude"

No Lemonade stands, no Halloween, no proms or homecomings or school spirit...no wonder English kids turn to alcohol at 13 and become cynical horrible bastards, we want the childhoods the American kids get!

If I were to see a Lemonade stand I probably wouldn't buy any, I'd just give the kids a fiver or something for actually putting the effort in to set one up.

I've never seen a Lemonade Stand. If I saw one, I'd happily buy it from them.

I'd probably buy a cup, maybe talk some other people I know into buying some. Gotta encourage that work ethic and all that. I don't think I'd drink it, though, sugar with a little water in it doesn't really do it for me.

That sounds terrible. Also how much is 7 pounds to a kid that age? I mean if I made 10 dollars from a lemonade stand would be pretty nice but I don't actually know the exchange rate Soooo...

I usually just ignore it. I don't trust the kids here anywhere near enough for that kind of thing.

Yeah, I'd rather not spend the evening on the shitter because of the kids' ideas of hygiene standards.
