He has inspired thoughts and dreams, which often turned concepts into technology.
A grandios legacy to leave behind and be remembered by.

I have nothing more to say beyond, rest in peace.

Rest in peace.
Just recently I binge watched TOS and the movies. Great times.
Sadly, just yesterday I opted to not watch some TOS and instead played Hearthstone. I know it wouldn't have changed a damned thing, but I still wish I had done it. Isn't that weird?

We all knew this had to happen some day, but it really just kind of throws you when it DOES actually happen.

Goodbye Mr. Nimoy, you will be sorely missed.

It made headline news in Germany as well: http://www.tagesschau.de/kultur/nimoy-spock-gestorben-101.html
Sad to see him go, but that's how it works. I just hope I get to be so lucky to live (and prosper) long enough to see many more of my icons die. Okay, that sounded better in my head.
While it was obvious that he was getting on in years, I have to admit I didn't know about his ailing health. I also have to admit that I never was much of a fan of TOS, but I absolutely love the Star Trek movies 1-6; yes, every one of them. Yes, even the awful one.

Well crap man.

You know the actor(s) you have loved in the past are getting on in years but it still hits you hard when they pass away.

Goodbye Mr. Nimoy.

You gave us an idea of what a Vulcan should be.

Wow... I don't know what else to say, except... rest in peace, Mr. Nimoy, your long journey has come to an end.

(Because just saying "Live Long and Prosper" obviously won't work...)

I'm genuinely surprised that he was outlived by Shatner considering he always seemed like the healthier of the two.

He'll always be remembered as someone who helped shape modern sci-fi, and he'll be missed.

RIP Mr. Nimoy.

Rest in peace Leonard Nimoy, you've taken us where no one has gone before.

I really wish there will be such things as Science Officers in the future.

He has been, and always will be...our friend. Rest in peace Mr. Spock.

When I first heard I actually cried. If I read another sad post or article about him I'm gonna lose my mind and start sobbing like a little girl. I'm honestly in a shock.

Spock was my ghost dad. Cause my own dad was a MIA shitball. I grew up on TOS...Shatner might have been the leading man, but I learned a lot from Spock as a young nerdy abandoned introvert.

This world continues to get shittier by the day.

"The flame of the inn is dim tonight,
Too many vacant chairs.
The sun has lost too much of its light,
Too many songs have taken flight,
Too many ghosts on the stairs.
Charon, here's to you as man against man,
I wish I could pick 'em the way you can!"

An image I saw elsewhere and a quote I felt fit after seeing Shatners twitter post. Notably I grew up on TNG not the Original series but it still felt quite a punch after seeing the news, I guess Nimoy was really larger than life in someways regardless of your exposure to him.
