He completely deserves it, though he will always remain in my geek heart as being on of the most influential figures to Star Trek to this date.

Also, I'm glad I actually got to meet him in person at Comic Con before he decided this for sure. ^^

Definitely deserves it. I got to meet him at a convention a year or so back. He was looking really tired in his old age and I'm glad I got to meet him when I did. Very nice fellow.

Rest well Mister Spock. Live long and prosper.

This can either end wonderfully or with Justin Lee Colins attempting to get him back for some re-union.
:p
Anyway, he's earnt it.
Have a good one Nemoy.

Didn't he say the exact same thing about retiring once he finished voicing Master Xeahnort in Birth by Sleep? And then he went on to do Transformers 3? Maybe this is true, but there is precident there to beleive otherwise.

Even though I can't say I've been a fan of much anything he's been in, I respect the man. He's always come across as a decent fellow who respects his audience and enjoys the material he works with. I'd buy him a beer.

Wait, don't tell me his final role was Sentinel Prime in Transformers: Dark of the Moon? That franchise is cursed...

Also, he's in the Kingdom Hearts PSP game? Maybe I should get that, I couldn't get through the DS one, got sick of it near the end of Beast's Castle...
