Too many times in L4D. I typically play with three other friends, but sometimes we play a man down. So some random "Leeroy" would join up. One occasion he shotgunned me and my friends (We weren't dead but close to it) and he ran off. He ended up dying and so did we. Twas quite awful.

I decided to play Leroy one night in WoW. I was with a friend of mine who'd just made 80 on his warrior and needed to grind heroics for his entry tank gear. So him, another guildy, and myself grabbed two random schmucks from trade chat to round out our group.

We were about 3 dungeons in when we got to Drak'Tharon Keep. Before we pull the first group my friend and the other guildy start bickering over trash mechanics and at least one of our two people from trade chat goes afk. About five minutes goes by and something, I'm still not sure what, compels me to shout in vent "Less talking more pulling! RELEASE THE HOUNDS!!!" at which point I popped spirit wolves, shamanistic rage, heroism, and proceeded to attempt tanking the first trash pack.

Suffice be said there was a beautiful moment of silence with a subtext of "....wtf just happened?" and after that initial shock wore off everyone jumped in and we cleared the pack. No, it wasn't a Leroy wipe of the group (which wasn't exactly my goal I was just getting impatient) but it's still one of those legendary moments amongst my friends and guildies I still play with.

I was playing SWAT in Halo and I kid you not, this guy managed to die about ten times in the first minute without getting a single kill.

I went into theater and replayed it. He didn't fire his gun once. He hit sprint, ran directly at the enemy team, and died. Ten times.

Then he started swearing about the enemies camping, and quit the game.

Yeah the OP is not a Leeroy. A Leeroy plays to have fun in the unconventional way of removing seriousness and immersion, and treating the game like it really is, a game.

I Leeroy all the time as a medic in TF2.
