What I have heard about the ending pissed me off so much I refuse to purchase a bioware game again.

I pre-ordered the CE, but I live in Belgium (sadly enough) and it's cheaper to send it to my family in the US and pick it up at Easter when I go to visit...
So a little more than a month for me.
Just a suggestion and you more than likely have thought of this, but if the CE package is fairly small it wouldn't cost much to send it by mail. I've send things to the Netherlands and England and it was pretty cheap. Especially if your family could send it in one of those "if it fits, it ships" flat rate boxes that they have. At the very least they could send you the game and you could get the extras like the lithograph and art book at Easter.

OP - Amazon's having delays? Oh dear. When I ordered the CE, it claimed that it would be here on the 6th or 7th, but that's also with Prime shipping in order.

Words can truly not express how foaming-at-the-mouth excited I am for this game. I'll also go ahead and admit (hold on - must get my asbestos suit on first) that I'm excited for the 'story' mode that eases up on the combat. I usually play on 'casual', and God bless Bioware for naming the setting 'casual' instead of 'nancy-pancy idiot'. I love playing the game, I'm just unfortunately completely rubbish at shooting things.

I may be laying in a good stock of snacks shortly - mostly fruit and veg and popcorn because I am in fact the most boring person... IN THE WORLD. [ /jeremy clarkson ] Though I am also extremely tempted to go find some nail polish. I saw someone give themselves an absolutely brilliant ME3 manicure (black nails, white-and-red stripe, little N7 logo on the thumb) and if there is any possible way I can manage such a thing, I am going to try my damnedest to make it happen.

I will wait for a price drop as i did with the previous two. Somehow I enjoy more a game that i know that I have paid half the price of it. Games are so insanely expensive in Europe that very few games are worth the full price (60 Euros on average) in my opinion. Would you guys in America ever buy an 80 Dollars game? Because that's the price.

I just heard some of the games soundtrack and it's great and I can't wait but fuck you, europe release date. Why do we get it a few days later? I don't see any reason behind it except that it's "tradition". At least EA doesn't mind the use of proxy/vpn to bypass the date checker.

Now I only have to wait for my copy to arrive. I've per-ordered the normal version and will get some DLC but I don't really know what exactly and don't really care.
I'm not really sure when it will arrive though. It says that they'll send it on march 7th per mail and it should arrive on march 8th but there's a possibility that I'll get it already tomorrow. It said something similar about bf3 but it arrived on the american release date, so I'm crossing my fingers.
I can easily wait for a game which is still far away but as soon as the release is only a few days away, I become really impatient.

As for preparations, I've been refreshing my memory about what has happened in the first two games and the books and comics. I've been reading mostly about characters and their stories.

Helps if you have a friend who runs a toystore. Enjoy your Mass Effect 3 adventures, my friends! :D
Lucky! I'm super jealous and almost want to say something mean, but I know better. I hope you're enjoying it while the rest of us wait...and wait...and wait...13 hours! Just 13 hours!
I don't even have time to play it, today. I like to sit down for these kind of games on my day off, which is Thursday. Just that my friend called to tell me that a copy was reading and waiting and I picked it up on the way home. It's still in it's shrink wrap, winking at me... This is such a slutty game.

First off Amazon, as far as I know, isn't having any delays. Sorry if my wording was confusing. I just meant that usually Amazon gets me my package 1-3 days before their delivery estimate, but there's always the possibility that this time they're going to take a little longer, because of the company or because of the shiping company or just because the truck driver of the ONE truck your copy is on decides hes not coming into work that day or something. Life's little tragedies you know? XD

And I totally agree about the whole casual thing. I LOVE Mass Effect for the story and relationships (I'm a hopeless loner, I need virtual friends where I always know the right thing to say XD), but without casual I probably wouldn't have been able to shoot Shepard in the foot let alone the bad guys.

And thank you! That reminds me I need to stock up on snacks! I've already decided the day that I get my copy I'm going to go to a local resturant and order beef fajitas to bring home as a celebration dinner.

Finally, the whole nail polish thing...That's so cool! What you could try doing is do the thumb black and attempt N7 there. Then on the index finger do white, then on the middle finger do red, and then on the ring and pinkie do black again. I think that would make a cool and easy way to do it cause you wouldn't think stripes hard but I've proven that wrong...course maybe I just suck at it XD.

Because I like ruining people's good time, I'm coming here to say that I'm not preparing for ME3, because I played ME2 and thought that it sucked. It also made me think that BioWare has no idea how to make a good game. I also think that massive RPGs will always, ALWAYS, suck, because the games try to do give you too many ways to play, which leads to each of them being equally mediocre. This is why we have GENRES people.
I've even seen fans worrying about this kind of thing this time around, worrying that the game will try to accommodate the Shooter fans and the RPG fans completely, at the same time.

Well the hole in the disc is big enough for a tongue >.>
Ok now my mind is wandering into many wrong directions.

I think violating the disc will negate the warranty. Try explaining that to the store when returning the disc when it doesn't work.

87 hours for me.

I live in the UK, and was one of the unlucky...many, who pre-ordered from Game. Now that my pre-order has been cancelled, I can no longer get the Limited Edition *sobs*

Meh, will live with standard edition...and trade in Resident Evil Revelations so I get it for about half the price.

The excitement hasn't hit me yet, but it probably will on Thursday after I get my exam results determining whether I get into Uni or not.

Hah yeah, for you maybe. Us Yurpians need to wait a couple more days. Which I don't really mind, because I haven't got time to play it properly now anyway.

Excited? Maybe, a little. I have actively ignored most of the news about ME3. I'll just wait until my CE drops in my mailbox on Thursday.

I'm really excited for Mass Effect 3, I pre-ordered the N7 edition from HMV in the UK so that means I have towait till th 9th... Well Good luck to all those people who will be playing the multiplayer tomorrow hope to see you there.

As for the previous games, i've played both Mass Effect 1 & 2 with multiple playthroughs and have just finished Mass Effect 2 on Insanity 100%, i just hope that it all counts to getting a large bonus in Mass Effect 3.

So if the ending is as bad as people are saying it is will anyone else drink the cool-aide with me at Father Kyle's biotic cult get-together?
Sorry, I'm too pumped for this game for the ending to be anything but fantastic no matter what happens in it. Though if it's so horrible that it manages to break my bias, I won't be stocking up on Dixie Cups, I'll be stocking up on pitchforks and torches.
I'll pour a 40 on Bioware's grave and go sulk alone :(
:p I'll burn their HQ to the ground and then find a buncha hippies to gather around it's smoldering ashes and sing Kumbiah(spelling).

Same here even if we get a bioware trolling ending where the reapers will win and destroy the galaxy whatever we do I WILL love it. I will see what happens but honestly i wouldn't mind a bad ending in the end.

Only a few more days to find out.
Seriously, I'm so frickin' pumped for this game, I feel like walking outside, going up to the first person I see, and slapping the right in the mouth before running/bouncing off wildly like Daffy Duck every time he has one of his loony spaz-outs.
