Today is the third advent before November the Eleventh, the date which we Remember the unaccounted millions of lives who gave their lives. For what, historians have established, was mostly tensions of the inefficient centralized and greedy policies of Imperialism. Nations and Empires sought to hold their precious colonies together in order to continue the economic policies they maintained of taking the resources and materials from provinces and territories [they 'owned'], manufactuing or refining the goods, and selling them to themselves or back to the territories for their profit. This unequal economic method of Imperialism evidenced pure and simple greed as the root cause of the war. Nontheless the armies of these nations had sworn men and women to serve the cause that the Nation issued, these nations being administrated by the Politicians who had it set in their heads that Imperialism was a just idea. Therefore when the tensions were high enough and the status quo could not take the strain, the Politicians engage their fists in their flamewar.
Seventy million lives were sent to defend or attack these causes, resulting the horrific mess that was the War to End All Wars. 15 Million people died in the brutal conflict, which established a newer, still precarious system of nations that led to only two decades of non-conflict.
