So...you walk into your local game shop, just having a browse you see a Dreamcast section.

Bit weird, you walk over to take a look and an interest in "retro" gaming.

You take a look at the games and see Sonic Adventure 3, wait what?
Browsing further you see more games Bayonetta 2, Phantasy Star Online 2, Valkyria Chronicles III and IV, The Conduit 3, Virtua Cop, Condemned 3, Chu Chu Rocket and Shenmue III as well as some third party titles like Call of Duty, Mass Effect Trilogy, Sonic and All Star Racing Transformed and Anarchy Reigns.

You ask the clerk and he goes, yeah SEGA just shipped us a load of copies of all this and said put them on display, costs £200, £30 a game there's also a pre-order list that we've been told to put right next to the display for you to look through if you like.

Curious you look through the pre-order book; new Alex Kidd, action RPG Bleach game, Crazy Taxi Rampage, Dinosaur King, Ecco Evolved, Golden Axe remake, House of the Dead: EXTRA BLACK EDITION, Jet Set Radio Dimensions, Resonance of Fate 2, Samba di Amigo Goes Wild, Shinobi, Skies of Arcadia 2, Space Channel 5: A New-s-tory, Super Monkey Balls, ToeJam and Earl: Spaceship Funkytron, Virtua Fighter 8 and Yakuza 6

What do you do next?

Wait for M. Night Shyamalan to pop out of the game shop's back door with a sign reading "PLOT TWIST! It was all an internet post all along".

>Valkyria Chronicles 3 released in the west.
>Valkyria Chronicles 4

Pretty much that, because clearly I've walked into some cleverly laid out joke.

Wait for the closing narration by Rod Serling.
Well, that didn't take long.

I suppose if I have to live in the Twilight Zone, then I would wonder how Sega got all of that money, because a Dreamcast isn't nearly powerful enough for any of those games so that means they would've managed to develop an entirely new, current generation console from scratch without anybody hearing about it, and managed to get tons of games developed for it.

I see you haven't caught wind that Nintendo is publishing Bayonetta 2...

SEGA are advising, they still have links with the game in question, besides I mean if you walked in today and it was there. Nintendo can't do much about it if its already out.

Shenmue III? Shinobi? Golden Axe remake? Resonance of Fate 2? Well I don't know what I would do, but I know my nipples would explode in delight and my eyes would cry rivers of happiness filled rainbows of godly proportions, which would flood this grey, black and white desperation filled world of blandness and boredom; boredom that waddles in the pestering putrefying and fetid pit of repetition and disguises itself as novelty only to then pull you into its pus filled decaying pores of ugly realization as you are surrounded by the laughs of satan's minions while they fart in your face and wave your money in front of your pathetic nose.

So, if Sega actually got their shit together and remembered they had IPs other than Sonic?

I'd be quite happy. Particularly with Skies of Arcadia 2. I'd preoder that with the money left from buying Anarchy Reigns.

That would be quite a lot of shovelware in such a short time. Remember when they released just four Sonic games in the same year? And that was just Sonic.
It was the year 2006.

My reaction? I would expect a sharply dressed man to appear from around the corner and begin this narration to the 4th wall.

At which point I would open the cases in excitement only to find that they're all filled with Farmville: Dreamcastaway.

Say that's nice and immediately move onto the PS3 section. I have no real love for the Dreamcast, SEGA, anything related to the company. I certainly don't love retro games either.

I would question my friends as to what coctail of drugs they'd fed me. Then I would drop kick SA3 out of the door into the gaping jaws of hell. SA3 would likely mean more treasure hunting --> undue frustation --> flow stopping pointlessness --> someone ending upon the painful end of a firearm.

...damn.

I'd ask the clerk if he knew any of it is getting released for PC. Then go home and check if ROF is available for PC.

It is not... >.>

I'd take out a loan just to buy it all. Including the CoD game, just to snap over my knee.
