No. I'm sorry, but no. The world is not allowed to end until Arsenal is above Tottenham on the league table. So piss off, Apocalypse, you're not welcome here right now.

Well, on the one hand, all of societies evils become destroyed in an everlasting hell-on-earth where upon Natural Selection once again takes control of man's life, leading to possible Dystopia/Utopia hybrid where humanity comes to its greatest and lowest points.

And on the other...I don't get my gaming PC I spent over £300 for!

I would be sad, for there would be no more pony.

However, I can take heart that the world would not end Friday, since that would mean no more pony, and the Universe couldn't possibly be that cruel.

Therefore, the world will not end on Friday.

Because pony.

Are kidding? That sounds way better

"O squirrel brethren, heed my call. Come forth with thine nutty bounty, and divest unto ME! JoJo, Lord of squirrels, and supreme ruler of the Rodent kingdom!"

First Earth,

Then the Universe.

It is strange. To simply wonder exact what it is we have accomplished. We haven't met a lot of goals, to say the least. No AI, FTL travel, World Peace (that was a joke, for the record) or Half Life 2: Episode 3. literature, film and music have gotten arguably worse, largely. The absence of humanity will be interesting. If every other form of life survives, that is. How exactly will life proceed to evolve? I suppose dogs into wolves--cats into...bigger cats--pigs into boar. Domesticated series would have to become 'naturalised', I would say. Very interesting question, I will hag? To run with it further.

Things I'd be sad about:

I never found a girlfriend...
Holy shit, not seeing Muse's stadium concert next summer that I'm going to, that'd definitely suck!
Also I've had this thought of maybe starting to play the piano. It'd have been cool to play Studio Ghibli songs at home, oh well.
Not getting to see my friends in Iceland again next summer :(

Things I'd be happy about:

Well, no more worries about anything. No more school, work, chores, ANYTHING! PARTY LIKE MAD!!
The earth returning to its natural state
EVERYONE I'VE EVER HATED WOULD DIE! WHOOO!

If we were to say that 'society' dies, in other words all forms of organized government, in the chaos that would ensue somekind of global disaster, I'd be happy and welcome it with open arms.

Well the OP summed up my thoughts on humanity. We had a good run. May the next intelligent species have better luck sorting out its issues. On a personal level, it'll mean I get to sleep in...forever! I would be kinda pissed I died before I got my MA though, but it's not like it would matter after the fact.

Wonder if that "life after people" documentary will play on Friday. That would be kinda funny.

If it did, then I'd be really depressed, so I guess I'd spend my last day with my family. I might not like people, but there are plenty of folks I'd rather not have die...

I'd be pretty pissed. Before Christmas and all that money spent gone to waste. Seems like the type of dipshit move our Sun would make though.

Sun - "Hey, Earth, highfive!"
Earth - "Oh shi-"
Sun - "Whoops."

The end of the human race?
Oh well. Wish we could do better with what we had, but here's to the future

I'm relieved, but scared and disappointed. Despite my apathy and boredom, I never really let go of the idea that 'my' life would be special. Some narcissistic part of me refuses to accept that I'll die before I'm fulfilled.

even so...I'm glad I won't have to talk or go through the motions anymore.

As long as it is quick and painless, i am totally ok.
I just dont want to have to try to "survive". That is so not my thing.

Humanity is a great species, we've accomplished so much in sucha short time and we have so much potential. Sure we've made mistakes but we were young (still are) and have the ability and intelligence to fix them.

Plus who would my Sheep rule over once I destroy the Dragons? Squirrels? They are useless servants!

Pretty fine with that actually...
I've accomplished all my major life goals. Life has been stressful lately as I'm currently unemployed and am gradually running low on rent money.

Sweet release is fine by me.
