Never go dubbed.

I thought it was a gorgeous film, really well shot and very touching. Surprisingly tender for a film where numerous people are murdered by one of the protagonists.

You'll be very disappointed man, the Swedish version with subtitles with very impressively done. I personally loved it.. and shed a tear at the traditional vampire lore being used. Everything in the movie is just perfect for a deep drama, although some may not like the slower pace of it.

Then you will watch an entirely different movie. A big part of the movie's charm is its setting.

On one hand i'd say that i just wasn't switched on when watching... but i think i'm gonna blame the dubbing so i get off free ;)

Really? Wouldn't it make more sense just to pick up the Swedish version now rather than waiting for the inferior film? It's not exactly hard to find.

Argggggg. Not part of the solution..... Part of the problem... Burn him. Burn him.
Jesus you would have thought I had just said Stalin was my best Friend or something, what the hell is so wrong with not wanting to read a damn movie? Here's a brilliant idea, if you don't want to see the remake then don't go and see it, that way I can see it and you wont be bothered.

The Swedish version will be superior to the American remake, I can guarantee that to 99.999999 percent accuracy, and it will be a significant superiority. If the American film is better, than it will likely create some kind of paradox destroying life as we know it. Well, not really. But you see my point.

Sometimes it's worth going into something different; you'll come out with a better experience than choosing the easy and familiar option.
Or it could be that I hate reading a movie, and how would you know if it is going to be bad, have you seen it? As I said before, i could care less if you see it or not, I on the other hand will wait for the remake to come out and then see it, I don't see how this harms you in any way. Plus I think we make rather good movies, considering that like 90% of the best movies are made by Americans.

I thought it was okay.

I mean, it was no John Carpenter's Vampires, or From Dusk Till Dawn, but it was enjoyable. I'd place it a little higher than 30 Days of Night honestly.

And its certainly not the best vampire film ever. That title belongs to The Lost Boys.

Hitler didn't want to read movies either. That's why he killed the Jews. Are you Hitler?
If I say yes will you give me Austria and Czechoslovakia?

You know what, I'm just not going to bother arguing with you.

Well, best vampire movie isn't that prestigous. The only non twilight one I can think of is Blade, and they're different genres.

Okay, Nosferatu is pretty good. But it'd be hard to compare it to a more modern film.

I was more reffering to the '90% of the best movies are made by Americans'.[/quote]

It's because historically that's were most movies come from, or at least that is were the money comes from, hell the Brits have much better actors(they have Sean Connery and Michael Caine after all) but just don't produce as many movies, and as bad as some of our movies are there are still lots of good ones(Star Wars, LOTR, Black Hawk Down, Braveheart, Man on Fire, and so on).
