Yeah Zing. I bought DA2. Worst mistake ever. :( I was expecting it to be as good as DAO. Should of known better. EA is ruining BW.

But yeah, DNF was fun to play.

I didn't like Duke Nukem Forever but I wouldn't say that it was the worst game ever. It seemed just a little odd that a game with such a long development time would bring graphics from the last generation but then again, could it have lived up to so many years of expectations?

My pick for worst game, Superman 64. I swear I was controlling a painted log in women's underwear.

I've played 47 hours of DNF according to Steam, so yeah, I liked it. :p Gearbox did pretty terrible on the humor, but the gameplay was good (the shooting felt great), the levels were creative, and there was a lot of variety. Also, people say the graphics were shit. On some levels, like the day Vegas level (who would make a Vegas level in day?), they were. The palette was just horrible on that. But on some other levels, the graphics actually surprised me at times. It's amazing what 3D Realms managed to do with such an old engine.

Anyway, I hope 3D Realms is still involved in the next Duke games. At least for the humor portion. Gearbox just doesn't get Duke. :p

I only played the demo and didn't like it, but not the worst thing ever. The controls weren't bad and it was pretty silly. That is all I can say about it.

By no means was it the worst game of all time. (Superman 64 however... you've had your head checked since then, I trust? I hope?) What it was, was a bland, repetitive, kinda boring modern style FPS, which was massively disappointing. It could have been ok if they'd done something interesting with Duke, but they just sort of transplanted him wholly from over a decade ago. Or if they'd brought back an old-school FPS style with a modern gloss, but they didn't do that either.

anybody else play the game on the hardest difficulty and notice that anything you throw was an instakill? That was interesting.

The game was badly done in all aspects, and then they make fun of games which they copied... it's just rubbing salt on the wound.
I say it would be better if this was never released.

I played through the whole thing (on the inferior 360 version in fact) and I'll say it was quite enjoyable (ain't gonna make my game of the year list, but it's not as bad as some people say).

I liked it alright. Call it a seven out of ten, I guess. It's just really fashionable to dislike first-person shooters, so people will take a sloppy shit all over Duke Nukem Forever because they think it will make them look cool in front of their friends on their Shin Megami Tensei fansite that they got from Free Forums. It's Call of Duty all over again.

I didn't mind DNF that much, granted I didn't have high expectations for it. The main reason why I got it was because I just wanted to see how it was. Now don't get me wrong, some parts I really found tedious (Casino Level) or just awkward trying to adjust to the controls (Any driving level), but overall it was a nice shoot 'em up

Frankly I found it mediocre, its just that it was been there done that, with more one liners.

AND I enjoyed it...for a while anyway.

It's just best if we forget about it all.

Finding something new, that's not the hard part.

The hard part, is letting go.

You like Superman 64, your argument is invalid.

People are free to like what they do and don't but try and make people believe the same way you do. If you have the right to like it, they have the right to hate it. It may bug you that they are exaggerating or huffy about it but you can't change how people act.

Dead Money wasn't really that good of DLC, I always found those final lines to be really pretentious.

Let's not, Duke Nukem Forever was a rushed piece of shit. Yes a game 14 years in development was rushed.

personally i thought that DNF was a lot of fun.

i do agree that it has some serious issues with balance and wanting to be part of every shooter in the last 15 years but overall it was fun which is all i ever ask of games.

superman 64 i was not sold on though

what is it with this passive agressive "why do you hate this game??!" thing?

fine if you liked it, but it was no peice of art...in fact Im somwhat baffled by anyone who actually thourght it would be good after such a long time in development hell

When I say I liked Superman 64, for example, no-one bats an eyelid. When I say I liked Duke Nukem Forever, I'm a social pariah and the scum of gaming and the reason the industry is in the atrocious shape it's in now
I'm pretty sure it's because of timing. If you had said the Superman 64 comment back in....oh....say the late 90's, then yes. You'd be a social pariah then.

It will change soon enough. Much like the music industry and the Television industry, DNF is the new whipping boy, and soon enough another game will come along, suck horribly, and people will move on.

As is life.

I actually kind of want to check out DNF since it's so god awfully cheap right now :p

No.
Now to fill the rest of this space with meaningless words so that I don't get in trouble for having a low content post.
