I'm embarrassed to post my inferior specs in fear of the escapist community mocking me.
Processor: AMD Phenom II X2 555
RAM: 4GB
GPU: ATI Radeon HD 5750
HDD: 500GB

The rest is just generic shite Foxconn motherboard anyone?.

Originally built my rig with this [http://www.maximumpc.com/article/features/how_build_awesome_pc_647?page=1]. I had put everything together correctly, but I hadn't bought the recommended Motherboard and the RAM was not compatible with it. So some professionals made the appropriate fixtures.

Two years later, I wanted more RAM. So I bought a new MB, Power Supply, and the RAM. I upgraded it myself and felt pride.

So now I have:

Processor: AMD Athlon II X4 620 2.6GHz Socket AM3
RAM: 8GB
GPU SAPPHITE Radeon HD 5770
HDD: Seagate 500GB Barracuda

Runs Windows 7 64bit edition. If I get a new HDD, I might dual boot with Ubuntu.

Other stuff:
Power Supply: COOLER MASTER Silent Pro M700 RS-700-AMBA-D3 700W
Mother Board: MB GIGABYTE|GA-990FXA-UD3 AM3+ R

My keyboard is just a normal small logitech. I recently bought a new mouse though, CYBORG RAT7 and it works wonderfully.

i7, 5870HD, 12GB, 1TB+250GB, Win7, there's water in it, um what else... oh, it's right next to my bed and the peripherals are all wireless so I can snooze and browse :D

Oh yeh, P6T and 900W power box (I discovered these today when I looked inside it)

EDIT: Regarding the expensive gift, my father bought me a Subaru Legacy for my 20th. A little ashamed of that.

1.3GHz Intel Celeron processor.
3GB of RAM.
Integrated graphics.
124GB hard drive.
Integrated speakers.
Not a disc drive in sight.
64-bit Windows 7 Home Premium.

Like a boss, man, like a fucking boss.

Nah, about to order this [http://www.ebuyer.com/338539-zoostorm-2nd-gen-core-i5-gaming-pc-7873-0407] for uni though, once my savings bonds come through. I would have built my own, I read a number of walkthroughs and watched a few videos on it and felt pretty confident, but this has to last me through uni with no fuck ups so it's for the best that I didn't build it.

Mine has an "Offical Jedi Knight" sticker on it, as well as an i5 processor, 8GB RAM, and a Free Comic Book Day sticker, and that's just the laptop.

My PC is an awesome and crotchety machine named after my grandmother. It gives me a strange and cryptic beep-code every time I try to boot it up, and I have to restart it. It's almost two years old, as far as hardware goes, but it's a living testament to the fact that you don't need $1500 worth of hardware to play Total War Shogun: 2 for 80 hours.

I have nothing to brag about. I built my computer in 2009 and the two things that I have upgraded are the GPU and power supply. I'm still running Windows XP.

Intel BOXDX79SI Motherboard
3.2ghz (3.8ghz with Turboboost) 3930k Sandy Bridge-E Intel i7 (6-core/12 threads)
Nvidia GTX 560
16gb DDR3 RAM
2TB + 500gb HDD
2x Monitors (23.5'' each)

The 3930k is pretty beast; I do a lot of CG work, compositing and video editing so a good processor and lots of RAM was essential (it's quite lovely watching 12 buckets rendering an image in 3ds Max). It being really good with games is just a bonus...

I just purchased a set of computer parts, too! We originally thought it was £900 quid but it turns out we forgot our OS! So that brings it to about £960! Oh, god, it's gonna be phenomenal! This is my first computer I have owned myself and it's a big, powerful beast, about the best we could get for the money. This gonna be a GREAT summer! The case was a last minute decision over a cheaper case. I forget the name, but it was pretty expensive. About £110. You get what you pay for, though and it has great aesthetics! The computer as a while is very me. It should get the parts next Sunday and, knowing me I'll really love building it. It's a relatively simple job and it's the kind of thing I get my jollies from. And, yes paid for out of my own pocket.

Please don't look at me that way....

I bought mine for under $200 because I'm poor, yet I've never found a PC game I couldn't play on it.
I never buy games within 2 years of their release though (saves buttloads of currency, again I'm poor) so I can't say for sure whether it can play the MOST recent games. Handles ME2 just fine though.
BTW: I know nothing about computer hardware.

My computer is being guarded by Soundwave.

I bet yours isn't

OT: Nothing too special about my computer, spec-wise. Got alot of porn on it, though. Does that count for anything?

2 X Gainward GTX580 Phantom 3GB,
Intel Core I7 2600K 8MB 3.40GHz,
ASUS P8Z68-V PRO/GEN3,
16GB Corsair Vengeance 1600MHz,
Corsair AX1200.

I do intend to OC it at some point, that is when I get around to buying some decent liquid cooling. But right now everything seems to run fine.
