This is actually more due to an (unrelated) neurological disorder. I compulsively correct people when I see either a flat out mistake or omission of information. Plus I wanted to plug Monster Hunter 3, which is a fantastic game.

Most people who say things like that tend to genuinely not know about some of the better games on the wii.

Personally, I own all three consoles (Or did. I miss my PS3...) and both handhelds. And I GUESS I have my compy. Even though it's almost dead. I'm almost the only person on the forums capable of a (genuinely) neutral perspective on the Fanboy Wars. Conclusion: It's sheer stupidity. Every system on the market has SOMETHING to offer. And has flaws.

Actually, as a thought... People usually shit bricks of rage at me for DARING to EVER speak well of the wii. This is a rather welcome change. Anyways, I guess I'll return to Minecraft.

Uhh... Just an FYI, the 360 tends to have the better graphics. and you might want to add all the hacking with PS3 to the list.
I would disagree, however thats subject of opinion and also depends on the game in question
Umm... No it's not. While you're right about the specific game mattering, by and large, 360 versions of multiplats tend to look and perform better than their pS3 counterparts.

There used to be a compilation from Digital Foundry Face-Offs, but I can't seem to find it, so here's a list of the Face-Offs. http://www.eurogamer.net/archive.php?platform=digitalfoundry&type=face-off
If you are talking about multiplat games developed on the 360 then ported to the PS3 then yeah they look better, but games made exclusively for the PS3 look the best amongst consoles.

I don't think i made an error, or omitted information. Which is why i asked. I just made a general opinion, which can't really be wrong in this case as I am talking about my opinion of said console.

As said, i just find this sort of thing interesting in and of itself.

Though, i can't deny shameless plugs. Seeing as every chance i get I plug Shadow Hearts, a game that's impossible to find now. A fact i save for last once i whip people into a frenzy of how awesome it is...

Most people who say things like that tend to genuinely not know about some of the better games on the wii.
I actually know about a great deal of Wii games, I'm just not that into them. However I know they are probably really really awesome games. Just not my cup of tea. The few that are i get disinterested due to Motion control. Yes, I'm only 21 and I'm an old fart like my dad who complains that a game only needs one button to be good...

Though, i have to admit if Someone took the Silent Hill games exploration part and really worked at it there could be an awesome game there. Which is a direction i would like to see motion control do more often.

Personally, I own all three consoles (Or did. I miss my PS3...) and both handhelds. And I GUESS I have my compy. Even though it's almost dead. Currently i own everything but a 360 and i agree with you as well. As said the fighting gets people no where, mostly derived from insecurities elsewhere.

Actually, as a thought... People usually shit bricks of rage at me for DARING to EVER speak well of the wii. This is a rather welcome change. Anyways, I guess I'll return to Minecraft.
Naw, that would be a bit hypocritical after writing a short essay on how blowing up for differing opinions in gaming is childish. However it was cool to get a response that didn't end with me getting yelled at myself. Now that i see the number two by my tab i expect to see that streak end... *sigh* I cherish these calm discussions...

That's a misconception I've always found a bit odd. Monster Hunter 3 CAN be played using the wiimote, but the best way to play a MH game is, and will always be, using a traditional controller. Wiimote controls aren't "required" to be the recommended control setup, just like friend codes aren't the ONLY way to do online.

I don't think the Console Wars can end while all three consoles are still on the market. It's like Highlander, there can only be one. Microsoft, Nintendo or Sony will have to decapitate the other's console and then absorb their fan-base.

By the way, did anyone expect him to talk about the game End War?
Would have been better than this useless thread.
This is what I honestly expected; I always read the most recent topics posted in, I glance at the title, then I picture how the discussions can go. I pictured this thread to contain something along the lines of "Let's END the Console WAR!! Tom Clancy's End War 2 is going to have cross platform play for all handheld, consoles, and Mac and PC, to truly end the bickering of who's console is better." or something. Instead, I see this. More people are actually flaming the original poster, instead of actually having fanboy battles, which is almost ironic.

Well, most games are Wiimote only, back when we bought the system i was slowly disinterested as all the games i wanted to play were wiimote only. It's mostly common to assume that is how things are. Such as what happened with Zelda, Metroid.

However MH is one that i got turned off from the PsP game monster Hunter Freedom i think it was called. So i paid the game very little mind when Trinity came out on the Wii.

It won't ever end. Sorry dude, but that's just how it is.
Unless, of course, everyone goes back to playing on PCs. You know, the right way to game.
Some people don't like/can't afford gaming on the PC. And who says that PC gaming is 'the right way'? You're just as bad as the console fanboys.

OT: It will never end.
