You know, I bet there are some people that don't think humans are animals. It's kinda funny that humanity is about the most mutant animal on the planet. Everything we do as a society moves our species further away from the recognition of ourselves as animals.

I dunno what word I'd use to describe that phenomenon, but if there was one that existed, I think that should be the name for our species.

Something that encompasses the strange behavioural trait in humans that has allowed us to evolve away from nature - away from evolution itself, as it were.

Fuck it, stick with humans. This is getting all wriggly and complicated.

I usually calls us for mennesker (The Danish word for humans).

Long pig can also be used although it is not flattering at all.

Perhaps we should just use the German Mensch (since I like the sound of it) or stick to the scientific name of Homo sapiens.

Agent Smith's rant was also the epitome of hypocrisy. I always found it funny that a machine was capable of showing both aggrogance and lack of self observation.

I like Solarians, or Solians, or possibly Solari. Pretty sure if aliens find us they'll have another name for us. When we finally grow up and get off Earth we'll probably adopt a more fitting name for ourselves in light of being part of a galactic community.
