Well I'm going to be hated for this but I like a lot of songs in sonic games. This is probably the 2 best ones, and they're actually not cheesy.

Anything Jesper Kyd does, and Borderlands has a great couple of songs. The best is Ain't no rest for the wicked - Cage the Elephant, but I like Ain't No Heaven by DJ Champion.

I would give a clip of my favorite video game music, but sadly I have yet to find it.... anywhere. Free beer or cookie or whatever to the person who can give me the game over music from a game on the original gameboy 20 years ago. The game is Solar Striker. when you lost, the game made you know it. Its game over music was so sad...
