Ever been at your computer/console whatever and decided to play a game but it takes you forever to get around to it. It's been maybe half an hour since I decided I wanted to play Torchlight 2 but I got caught up browsing the web and posting this thread...

I think my record was maybe 3 hours from actually starting the game, tabbing out and forgetting it before I saw it and started actually playing.

This ever happen to you?

Yep all the time, but I normally end up playing nothing at all.
To be fair I tend to forget about stuff, so unless I start immediately after saying I'm going to play the game, I probably won't, unless something or someone reminds me.

Happens to me all the time. I usually start up a game, start looking at a link, and then wind up an hour later with no idea of what I originally set out to do. Then I realize I've had a game running the entire time.

Sort of, but my problem is more: let's play a game... hmmmm... choices, choices... nah, not an FPS... nah, not a TW titles... nah, not that, played that too recently... good lord haven't played that in ages... etc. etc.

Takes me longer to decide what to play sometimes than it does to actually play the game for that particular sitting... -_-

I'm having that very issue right now. Have to get myself to start that final mission in Dishonored, but first, you know, internetz and stuff. That, and the 'High Chaos' that's in parentheses after the mission name kind of scares me a bit >.>

I have this problem when I have a boyfriend or someone over.

We will be talking for awhile and then one of us will suggest playing a videogame, but then continue talking and not actually play the game until much later in the night. After a few drinks usually.

I think this happens in my situations because, we both feel like the other person we are with might want to do something more then just sit and talk, so we feel the need to suggest something, like videogames. When in reality the conversation is really great and neither of us actually are bothered to turn the damn thing on.

I don't know many people that just like to talk, so when I do am I usually taken aback slightly.

When I am by myself this never happens, I know what I want to do when I want to do it. It is other people that always complicate things.
