Lets play an Grammer game

Do too the fact that every one types nowadays, grammer seems to be suffering a slow, painful death. We'll, I've decided that a stand must be maid. Their is no excuse four forgetting something you should have learn in grade school. Mispelling a word is embarrassing, but forgivable. What is a capitol offense is mixing up words. They're needs to be capitol punishment for these people. Okay, perhaps thats a bit harsh (no it ain't!). Grammer Nazis only exist because of people whom can't remember bear basic stuff. Its like forgetting 2+2 equals 4. Any one who can't get this stuff write will suffer my entire Grammer Nazi wrath. I could care less about the fact that "Oh, I was in a rush" or "People new what I meant." To sea something like this is painful. To know that your responsible for this mistake should be, of coarse, a excuse to have you sent back too first grade. Thats rite. Back to little kid class rooms, butt you get to be a adult sitting with them. There going to wonder why mommys coworker is forced to take the same grammer tests that their taking. Hopefully this humiliating experience will stay in you're brain forever and you will never mix up the english language again. Butt whom am I kidding? Children our making these mistakes to. You sea, because everyone and any one types now, there simply looking to sea if the red line shows up under the word. If it doesnt, then okay, the word must be right. Lets move on to sending text messages that our made up of numbers and letters, but not actual words. Ten-two-one that thats a major part of the problem. People doesn't use words when their communicating with some one that they cannot see. Buy doing this--changing words into quick little symbols and acronyms--people are forgetting the basics. Your embarrassed if someone asks you what "To plus For" is and you can't remember the number, but if someone calls you on you're grammer, you simply roll your eyes and say "What a a**." And sew, let it be known that hear, right now, I make my stand. Due you wish to make a stand to? Then til me how many your finding. If the title doesnt give it away, you are hopeless.

Please only post your total number, then if you wish to post what you found, post it in spoiler tags. I don't want people cheating off of other people. And yes, "ain't" counts, I don't care what you say. This was inspired because someone posted a rather funny objection to me calling someone on one of their posts.

So basically your going to find people who are not as good at grammar as you are and ridicule them for it? Uhuh.... i dont really think policing the forums is the best way too go for the image we are trying to achieve for the escapist. I mean if you happen to suck at basic maths i definitely wouldn't take the piss out of you.

I counted around 52 mistakes in there; however, it was incredibly difficult to keep track of them in that wall of text.

Yes, let's say one more mistake for lack of paragraphs.

Also what is "grammer"?

i think anyone who can actually get all the way through the OP's post is no true grammar Nazi. a true grammar Nazi would be experiencing convulsions by halfway through. i was getting lightheaded by the end of the third sentence.

yes, i'm aware of the irony of my lack of capitalization in a thread about grammar. it's intentional.

What on earth are you talking about? You're supposed to read the OP and count the errors.

I got to 36 before I gave up and copied this guys answer.

Do you know the point of this topic? :D

No, seriously. With the OP's intentionally terrible grammar I am uncertain how anyone could be clear what he meant.

Gah, I couldn't even get past the fourth sentence never-less count all the mistakes. I do get the point of this thread, though I strongly believe if you want to be taken seriously you should be writing with full grammar.

I got 59 or 62, depending on how you count them.

Edit: I should specify: I got 62 if you count both the article title and the thread title, which have identical problems, as two sets of the same problems. 59 if I'm only supposed to count the title once.

For those playing at home, I've just revealed that there are three errors in the title.

Grammar is important. As a great fiction writer once said, you need to know the rules before you know how to break them.

there's a difference between a grammar and spelling mistake, so this is flawed
As mentioned above, using the wrong word, i.e. a homonym, isn't a spelling error - it's a grammar error.

It took me some time but I did it. Probably not 100% correct and I tried to stay true as possible to the original version:

Due to the fact that everyone types now days, grammar seems to be suffering a slow, painful death. Well, I've decided that a stand must be made. There is no excuse for forgetting something you should have learned in grade school. Misspelling a word is embarrassing, but forgivable. What is a capital offense is mixing up words. It's like forgetting 2+2 equals 4. Anyone who can't get this stuff ???? will suffer my entire Grammar Nazi wrath. I couldn't care less about the fact that "oh, i wuz in ah rush" or "people new what ae ment". To see something like this is painful. To know that you're responsible for this mistake should be, of course, an excuse to have you sent back to first grade. That's right. Back to little kid classrooms, but you get to be an adult sitting with them. They're going to wonder why mommies co-worker is forced to take the same grammar test that they're taking. Hopefully this humiliating experience will stay in your brain forever you will never mix up the English language again. But who am I kidding? Children are making these mistakes, too. You see, because everyone and anyone types now, they're simply looking to see if the red line shows up under the word. If it doesn't, then okay, the word must be right. Let's move on to sending text messages that are made up out of numbers and letters, but not actual words. Ten-two-one that's a major part of the problem. People don't use words when they're communicating with someone that they cannot see. By doing this--changing words into quick little symbols and acronyms--people are forgetting the basics. You're embarrassed if some asks you what "Two plus Four" is and you can't remember the number, but if someone calls you out on your grammar, you simply roll your eyes and say "What an a**". And so, let it be known that here, right now, I make my stand. Do you wish to make a stand, too? Then tell me how many you're finding. If the title doesn't give it away, you are hopeless.
