You'll be rewarded with handsomely as a man falls to his death before you and you find another mugged and dead, at least the latter of which leads into a quest in the same town.
Latter, preferably after a level up, go out of the town and take a right. The eye-sore cavern door to your left will be evident. Enter and kill the shit out of all those slavers and free the slaves, but don't be so busy freeing them (or him? I seem to only recall one) you let that battlemage rape you in the ass with his summonable shit which will rock whatever you're equipped with
OH and don't go there without getting decent weapons and armor; those are your chief concerns and this point and the objective of every fiscal interaction should foremost be making money and getting better equipment.
