I'll be updating this thread. At the end of each update, I'll include a question or an ask for a suggestion. Such as what to name a Pokemon I plan on catching. Ralts is the next one.

I always name my ralts Chloe after someone I know, so thats an idea if you want. then again I always catch female ralts.

And as a sorta aside thing, the wide screen doesnt bother me.

I recently bought an old cartridge of Ruby, but the internal battery was dead. Does that mean I can't advance in the game somehow?

You should still be able too. You just won't able to do a few minor events. That should be it.

As for the Ralts I'd suggest The Bride. I think that'd fit, would suit gardy's dress thing too. If it's male call it Bridget.

The only Pokemon game I've played much is Pokemon Snap, so I can't say. The good thing is that this LP will be informative to me as I'm basically going into this mostly blind.

Shiny pokemon are, as far as I know, just shiny. So nothing more powerful. Just pretty. They're rare though 1/8192 chance of catching one in the wild. I've only ever caught one other before. That was in HeartGold. Shiny Tentacool

Heh, heh, thanks! It took me a while to realise how lucky I was to get it (especially as this was during a long chain of running out of Ultra Balls and having to reset the game). What was even funnier was my cousin had caught a regular Rayquaza on his Ruby version, and spent the next week telling anyone who'd listen how obviously the green one was shiny and the black one ordinary. Ah, nostalgia. That was about eight years ago. That's quite scary, now I think about it.

Oh yeah, as far as Shiny Pokemon go, for the longest time the only one I found was the Red Gyarados in Silver/SoulSilver, and then I caught a Shiny Poochyena in White yesterday and I was almost more pumped for it than catching the four legendaries I caught in the same day (Cobalion, Terrakion, Virizion, and Kyurem, if you care).

To be honest, I'm not going to be overplaying the whole "Goth" thing until I get the hang of how to do this. That, and I'm really not all that funny.
