Off topic question time: Everyone have a fun time over Christmas? I had family over. Awkward as always. Thank goodness my aunt didn't show up.
I had a good time watching a 3 year old cousin try to open presents with a toy chainsaw.

I didn't choose. The American people chose!

HeartGold was a very fun game.

For Christmas, I asked for new hockey gear. Got it!

Name the Anorith Ronaldo. "Ronaldo the Armaldo".

Also, I did have a great time on Christmas. We made a mini-rink in my aunt's backyard.

EDIT: Dammit, I clicked the quote button instead of the edit one. *first world problems*

Actually, I've never gotten a perfect in any reasonable amount of time.

I find it funny that a guy sits at the bottom of a road and comments on your skill.

I've always wondered why there wasnt a guy at the top to do the same. For some reason i do better going north than I do south.

I think adults put a bit too much thinking into pokemon. Though I attribute it to the fact that the first generation of pokemon fans (my generation) are now adults who grew up, thinking about the show.

Too true. I always enjoyed wondering exactly what the relationship between the Pokemon League and the government was considering that the Champion, Elite Four, and Gym Leaders love to act like they are the law.

Perhaps they are the law. I doubt pokemon world has a written constitution, as that's more a western law thing.

Ah, like a feudalistic society. The Champion is the king/queen, the Elite Four are the upper nobility, and the Gym Leaders are the lower nobles that govern specific areas of the realm.

Which also means that the Champion is elected by virtue of being the strongest a la ancient Sparta, and I guess the Elite Four and Gym Leaders are appointed.

That... that actually makes an insane amount of sense. Which explains why everyone wants to be the pokemon master. But where do the professors fit into all of this?

They're the election officials that help all candidates go through the necessary procedures to be eligible for the chance to challenge the Champion.

[HEADING=2]Let?s Play: Pokemon Ruby 15: In which I ramble about legal terms[/HEADING]

It's time to challenge dear ol' dad to a fight.

Why do you keep calling me that?

Unless you've got ranks in Lockpicking

Darn, no fight?

Like meth? Sign me up!

I decided to fight every trainer here because I'm amazing like that. But really, most will use an item the first round. So just attack with a fighting type move, and you'll be fine.

I have a problem with this gym though. And it stems from an ethical concern: Why does the pokemon league allow this? I mean, you're all aware of what an "Appearance of Impropriety" is, right? Or a conflict of interests? Why doesn't this constitute one? Or does it, and is it simply being ignored?

Oh well. By the way, I just noticed that none of these gyms seem to have bathrooms. ...

...

Or anywhere else, really.

...

Wow.

FINE! I guess we will do it now.

"At least, I think you're my real child. You do sorta look like the milk-man"

"I'm even prepared to shoot you and hide the body, should it come to that!"

The ability of this pokemon is that it doesn't do anything every other turn. So protect can be of use here.

Now this guy. This guy is harder. But only slightly so.

Here he uses all of his potions. Man, our dad is a bastard!

By the way, Makalov was a great name. Whoever picked it had a good idea.

"You really do look like the milk man!"

"The daughter I never wanted?"

Thanks. I guess.

Yes. Because pokemon can't swim 'till we use a machine to teach them that.

But not frozen. Because they can't do anything then.

You lost to your 10 year old daughter.

...

Don't look at me like that!

Sure, let's go with that.

You too, lady?

Be sure to tell that to the paramedics.

What are you doing here?

...

AGAIN!?

Next time: We catch a predator!

By the way, not next time, but the time after that, I'll be catching a Magnemite. Name time. By the way, I pre-emptively disallow any ICP references.

Also: Question: Which gym gimmic did you like the most?

I liked the one for Pryce's gym. Firstly, Pryce is a badass. But also because sliding around on the ice was fun.

Woo! unrealized shout out to me. I liked the water gym usually. Something about those puzzles are fun yet aggravating. As for the Magnimite let's go with Magnus.

I liked the one for Iris/Drayden's gym. Walking on the backs of dragons? Sign me up!

The best one, though, is my hypothetical steel gym, in which you have magnetized shoes and you have to change the magnetic polarity of the walls to walk on walls and ceilings as you make your way to the gym leader. Kinda like the Distortion World in Platinum, but with switches.

As for this Magnemite, I want him to be named Magneto, because I'm unoriginal and I just watched X-Men First Class for the third time.

But... there is one they fear. In their tongue... he is 'Dovahkiin' - Dragonborn!

Firstly, that Skyrim joke was hilarious, thank you for that. Secondly, thanks, I felt really proud when I wasted an hour drawing a map and trainer/leader list that I promptly lost two days later.
