X-Com Incident Report, 8th July
Soon after the last mission, we intercepted yet another communication from alien vessels intent on locating the USA facility.
Ninjablu intercepted the craft over Jamaica, and it was downed by his Firestorm's plasma cannons.

X-Com Battle Report, UFO Crash Recovery 33
Night had fallen by the time the Skyranger arrived. As AceDiamond moved out, the hovertank came under small arms fire from the southwest. The small calibre shots had no hope of damaging the vehicle's heavy armour, and the alien had foolishly revealed itself.
The squad deployed flares to highlight it's position.
And Colonel Shanks sniped it.
Investigation of the area showed that this was the only crash survivor.

Once again, most of the alien crew were killed when this UFO crashed and it's power core exploded. However, the lone survivor was at least not able to report home with any intel they had gathered.

Transcript of Interrogation, Day 3, Snakeman Commander
Sound: Hissing breaths, Screams, indistinct words (likely alien profanity).
Normeo (Chief Interrogator): Ah, awake again I see. I expect you're a little disoriented, but that's to be expected in your condition. You know you Snakemen really are remarkably tough, none of the interrogation techniques we use on other humans have worked very well with
you, so we had to look at a bit of history. We've got quite an interesting history, you should have looked at a bit of it yourselves, you'd realise that we've spent a hell of a long time being spectacularly beastly to one another, and all this would have come as less of a surprise.
Alien: -unintelligible, probably profanity- monkey, what do you expect to achieve, you know I'm not going to tell you anything.
Normeo: Oh come now, let's not be like that. You've already told us your base is on Mars. Now, we're going to need to know exactly where. So let's get started. I'm sure you're wondering about what you're looking at. You see, the eyeball is a wonderful thing. Evolved so many times, quite seperately, and always comes out about the same. A gelatinous ball on the end of a thick bundle of nerves. Now if youre careful, you can get a pair of forceps into an eyesocket and get that ball out, without damaging the nerves, and leave it hanging down the front of a cheek. Like I've done with yours. That's
very useful, because it means that you can watch what I'm doing whilst I work. And you can't look away.
Alien: -unintelligible, probably profanity-.
Normeo: Now, as you see, we're cutting down the front of your torso, don't worry, this blade's very sharp, the pseudopod on here's rather tough, isn't it. It's quite hard work to get through, ah, but there we are. Don't worry, we're not spilling any bits. Not just yet, anyway.
Sound: Screams, Hissing breaths.
Normeo: Yes, I'm sure it does hurt. You know we used to do this to each other as well, it was a way of executing traitors. Even us fragile humans can live some time with some major organs entirely removed, but I'm sure
you'll last even longer. Now, let's have a look what you've got in here, eh? Ah yes, an egg sac, that's the first thing that makes us different, isn't it, you all lay eggs, and you can turn them into those Chryssalid things. Well, we won't be having any more of that from you, I'll snip this out, and we'll just get it out of the way.
Sound: Screams.
Normeo: You know, the more you try and struggle the more this'll hurt. Look, all finished.
Sound: Ragged hissing breaths, indistinct words.
Normeo: Not ready to tell us where your base is yet? As soon as you do this'll all stop.
Alien: -unintelligible, probably profanity- monkey.
Normeo: Oh well, let's carry on then, this is quite interesting anyway. Now, next we're going to cut away some of that magnificent cardiovascular system, I'll just reach in here a bit. There, you'll notice you can't move the end of your tail any more, no hydraulic pressure any more, see. These thick arterial and venal walls carry a lot of internal hydraulic pressure, and controlling that pressure expands and contracts bits of your pseudopod and moves you around. Very unique, I must say. No, don't think you're going to get out of this by bleeding to death, we've got some pretty strong clamps on the bits I've cut, our little anatomy lesson isn't finished yet, and I don't want you passing out again either.
Sound: Ragged hissing breaths.
Normeo: Now, let's have a look at some finer details, it doesn't do to neglect the small things, does it? You've got nerve clusters that run alongside your cardiovascular system all the way up and down your body, can you feel where I'm moving this electrical probe?
Sound: Screams.
Normeo: Obviously you can. We've got this little thing quite well calibrated. It'll produce a lot of pain, but won't make you black out. See, I can move it up and down your body, like being shot from the inside, isn't it? Must be the most intriguing feeling.
Alien: -Low mumble-
Normeo: Oh, I'll take this out, see if you can speak a bit clearer.
Alien: Pole. The base is at the north polar cap.
Normeo: See, that wasn't too hard, was it? Now, since you've been co-operative, I think we'll just end this. Where did that plasma rifle go?
Sound: Plasma shot, Scream.
Normeo: Oh how clumsy of me, I've shot off your right hand. Good job this weapon cauterises wounds, or I'd have to get the vein clamps out again. I was aiming for your
left hand. We know the base isn't at the poles, some of your ships had sandstorm damage to it's instrumentation, and they're not intense enough at the poles.
Sound: Plasma shot.
Normeo: Whoops, I really am useless with this, that was the end of your tail.
Alien: Ragged hissing breaths, -Unintelligible, probably profanity-, Cydonia. -unintelligible-.
Normeo: Thank you. You can go now.
Sound: Plasma shot.

Day 191, Goals.
There has been a noticable upswing in morale since the news that the aliens' main base has been located. The troops know we have a target now, and the resolve to fight, and to take this war to the enemy, wherever he hides, has never been stronger. There's a smell in the air. the smell of
victory. We have a plasma loaded Firestorm at every base, and we are considering prototypes for a ship to take us to Mars.

X-Com Incident Report, 12th July

this planet.
Another ship trying to deliver agents to infiltrate Canada's government. It was intercepted over the continental United States, and the team launched to capture the crew before they could go to ground.

X-Com Battle Report, UFO Crash Recovery 34
Night time, once again. The squad began dispersing, no-one fired at the hovertank as it left the skyranger, and the first hostile was soon spotted to the East.
It was quickly dispatched by Jack Lavish, and he called in another one right behind it.
This one shot by Preacher Saul.
The squad continued to disembark, and as Gamebrain89 took his Flying Suit out of the hatch, another Muton opened fire on him.
Fortunately, it's shots went wide, and Gamebrain was spared another trip to sickbay. He sighted on the offender and burned it down.
As the team dispersed, another alien was spotted next to the wreck of the UFO.
Gamebrain89 and Armitage Shanks opened fire, Colonel Shanks took the kill.
The battle was over.

Another sterling job ladies and gentlemen, we are holding the invader back with all our might. Additionally, whilst you were in the air, two further alien vessels were intercepted and shot down. One is waiting for you in America.
And another in India.
Get some sleep whilst the skyranger is refuelled, we've got a busy day ahead.
