If you're going to grow a beard, find one that fits your face. Too many idiots with low estrogen levels think that just having a beard automatically adds anything to them. It doesn't. Done wrong, beards are hideous.

ok guys im 19 and going to be 20 this year, so i thought about growing a beard now because i thought it would make me look a lot better as i normally dont have one, im at the stubble stage at the moment and id appreciate any tips and what you think about beards. also, if theres any advice if it helps pull the ladys, im game ;)
I definitely started growing one before age 19. However, that's due to my laziness towards shaving. Suffice to say, I do like my beard and I'm thinking of renting it out to other needy bald-faced people.

A trim beard is my favourite, and the kind I'm sporting now: No neck hair, long enough to not be patchy, but not so long that it juts out.

A sort of Riker-esque beard, if you will, and as we all know, Riker is the fucking man.

I have but two tips.

Don't eat messy foods very often(hot wings and other such things coated in sauce.) Makes you look bad.

Don't let your mustache grow into your mouth.

I can vouch for both of these.

Bloody tickly hair...

Well speaking as someone who has a beard, if your going to wear a full one, be prepared for the maintenance it requires. Or expect to look like a homeless guy. With women its a 50/50, most of the time the beard isn't the factor.

Let it grow out 'til it stops itching, and treat it like the hair on your head. Keep it trimmed to a decent shape, it helps you out with jobs and the like.

You might want to invest in an electric trimmer, if you keep it going.

Asshole 20 year old that can grow facial hair. I'm 24 and can't even grow a decent five o' clock shadow. :( I'd give my left nut to be able to grow a beard.

[small]wait no I wouldn't[/small]

I can't grow a beard, the most I can get is a scraggly rat-stache on my upper lip and chin. But never grow a neck beard. More often than not it'll just look like you've got pube hair growing
