Yes! *round of applause* that was exactly what I was going to say.
I didn't watch the full video but from what I saw she didn't bring attention to her gender. She's in a shirt that doesn't show off her boobs and you can only see her face.
She is very pretty and I understand why she'd wear make-up, a lot of women don't like putting videos of themselves online without make-up on. (I don't really care. I wear make up like once every few months :/ but women are different).
I think the problem is people can't cope with the fact that women who are attractive are not all posers after attention.
The girl in the video knows what she's talking about. The comments actually piss me off.
'She's only doing it because she has boobs!'
No... she's doing it because she's fucking passionate about her hobby. Seeing peoples gaming set ups isn't something that interests me all that much but I don't hate on them if they wanted to show me.
She isn't using her ass or her boobs to get views. She's just talking about her setup but people are throwing a fit because she dares to be female and attractive and into games in public. She's getting views because there's some guys out there who get boners over girls talking about games. That's not her fault if talking about her hobby just happens to give some guys wood and she just happens to be a pretty young girl.
A load of guys seem to think 'girls only talk about games to get attention!'
No. I talk about games because I love gaming. Just because there's girls out there who pose naked with a controller over each boob and say "Omgeez, I love the legend of Mario, I'm a totes gurl gamer with my eggsbox 350! Look at me boys!" doesn't mean you can all paint us with the same brush.
There are posers which try get attention and they just give the genuine ones a bad name, but you can tell pretty much straight away when they are.
The only difference is, if that was a guy in the video, the comments would be, "Hey, I love your speakers/mouse/laptop!" "looks pretty cool, man!" of course there'll be "u n00b!!11!" and "ur mom!" comments because it's YouTube. Because it's a women the comments are either "attention seeking whore! How dare you be a women on the internet!" or "ur sexy!! I didn't listen to a thing you said but, sex?"
I feel a little ashamed to know I share my hobby with some such disgustingly ignorant people who generalise like that.
