Expect to struggle at first. Im a fairly competent FPS player and i was getting my arse royally handed to me. Try all perks and see what you are best at and have fun! There is also a whole wealth of custom content and this was before steam workshop being brought to the game. This can be from custom maps, Mods (game modes etc) to weapons. Also the events are bloody funny and are free (gingerbread man gorefast at Christmas :D)and tripwire are always updating the game.

I too enjoy the wacky accents. Being from the south-east of UK i can pull off that accent well which has caused quite a few laughs in game. Sometimes they actually thought someone pressed one of the voice commands but it was actually me doing my impersonation of them.

So get on with it plod!

Loaddssaa Monaaay!

I love it. Varity in weapons, some of the character skins are brilliant too.

80+ Hours, still trying to get gold medic...

The accents are pure genius

I have played this game a ton, and I wish my friends were still interested in this. Berserkadurkin' is hilarious, and most (if not all) of the weapons felt really good. The zombie variety was great too, and like you said, the Patriarch is one tough SOB.

The game's great, but one thing that's bothered me about it a bit is that the DLC has been slowly strecthing the limits of tastefulness.

4-skin packs for less than 2?? Hell yeah!
Extra special skins for 4? each? Okay, it's nice though I won't personally buy
Buying a 4-pack of unique, generally powerful weapons in a game revolving around resource management for 6?? Sure, you still need to get the dosh to buy them, but it's still an extra thing to balance.
A pack of gold weapon skins for 7?? Are you shitting me?

I mean, what's next, 10? for giving your character Patriarch's voice, with no new lines recorded?

It's a solid low tech game, that runs on any comp. I don't play it any more, but when i did, i had a blast.
First class to max level was the support specialist, shotguns with penetration were good solid fun.

The game certainly is fun but the problem I have with ...well the community I guess is 90% of the players are fine with trying to set up in a room and never move unless the shop comes up, then to run back. It makes for a less exciting game.

Edit: I'm aware this can be the best idea in some maps but c'mon some messing around is good every now and then eh?

Killing Floor is great to play with friends.

My favourite classes are possibly firebug and commando. I'm good with sharpshooter, but it's one of the more boring classes to play since I just one shot things with crossbows and later, the M99.

The zombies are great. Varied but without being impossible. Spawning sucks balls though.

The weapons are great. Powerful, none of them are direct upgrades and are viable on all waves and difficulties, and have a really nice feel to them.

Perks are great, because they're like crack to level up.

Teamplay is surprisingly strong, and KF is one of the few multiplayer games where teamplay is strong.

Only stupid part is Tripwire. There is no reason why you should play any other game length beside Long, because many map achievements discredit Short or Medium lengths, and they really don't like custom content installed on your game.

So yeah, great game, definitly worth the $20, my second most played game in my library except TF2.
