Hello, Im TEAM STAR PUG and today I've decided to set up a small series of discussions under the banner of "lets talk about:" Todays topic in question is the Britsh national treasure, Stephen Fry.

Before I became a fan of Stephen Fry, I became a fan of the amazing show QI, which he hosts. I regocnised him before this, but had never taken much intrest of him. By this stage, he was my favourite thing about the show, along with Alan of course.

After watching most of the episodes as repeats on dave, when I was off school for a week, The show is among my favourites and I regularly tune in to new episodes.

After looking up "Stephen Fry" on youtube, I Started watching almost every sarcastic, 80-90's synicle British comedy I could find, as clips from the show "A bit of Fry and Laurie" appeared quite alot. Here is my favourite clip, which I remember watching on holidays to a seaside town in nothern Ireland:

I often go through phases of getting obsessed with actors or shows (this week, it's Dragon ball Z) and a couple of weeks ago its was Stephen Fry. I can remember the confusion that accured when I said "Its splendiferousness is unquantifiable". Even the english teacher was a bit flabbergasted. Stephen Fry will Always be one of my favourite entertainers.

I shall stop here, and leave the next entry in the series untill later, as people like Daystar Clarion and other trolls will complain that I'm posting too many threads about different topics (which were all different).

Until next time, I'm TEAM STAR PUG, good day to most of you.

Without exaggerating, this man is my idol. He's just brilliant, intelligent, hilarious and just all around awesome. If I was 15 years older and he was 15 years younger <3.

And one of my fav. quotes ever: "I suppose it all began when I came out of the womb. I looked back up at my mother and thought to myself, 'That's the last time I'm going up one of those.'" ~ Stephen Fry

I like him; he's funny, smart, and more than a little bit atheist.

I'd marry him if he was 25 years younger, a woman, and fit.

You know what, I'm not sure you need the sex change...
Well he would, because I'm straight.
Next time I should maybe read your post properly in stead of just scanning over it and assuming what it says. My apologies to you, sir.

I cannot possibly convey how strongly I view this man as an idol. And it's not just the intelligence, plenty of people are just as smart, but something in the way he represents it. Yes, it's flaunted perhaps but never obnoxiously, a trait I'd like to see in more people really.

Also, his value as an entertainer is undeniable, everything he touches turns to absolute gold. Or at least, everything so far. Godly as he is there's nothing to say he won't have an off day. But I for one doubt it'll be particularly noticeable anyway; we'll all be too busy being blinded by the awesome.

I liked his programme on Manic Depression. "The Secret Life of the Manic Depressive". Which he suffers from, as did my father. And I do a bit.

After watching it, it became a lot clearer the amount of famous people who suffer from it (like Mel Gibson who's been demonized in the press as 'crazy' for showing symptoms of it).

I did not enjoy the movie ?Wilde? as much. I'm not homophobic but I did find the scenes of gay sex a little gratuitous.

No worries; sometimes I just reply to people without reading past the first line and hope I've gotten it right xD

I think it would be easier for you to change your sexuality. Also I'd go gay for Stephen Fry any day.

I agree. I am a huge Oscar Wilde, Stephen Fry and Jude Law fan...but I felt a lot of the scenes were a little unnecessary.

OT: No one can deny that this man is a genius. I could listen to him all day.
Watch Blackadder, or his show with Hugh Laurie, or QI. Sheer brilliance.
