Let's talk about the resell market for the Wii U

Buying a refurbished gamepad is alot more expensive than buying a new Classic Controller Pro, PS4 controller, used N64 controller and so on, maybe three times or more expensive.

That's because the WiiU's gamepad is a lot more integral to the system. Hell, even taking that out, it's got more tech in it than any other controller.

I think it would be VERY stupid of Nintendo to make the NX non-BC, or at the very least make some kind of add-on that could plug into the NX to allow Wii/WiiU games to be played.

didn't seem to effect PS4's sales too much even though it doesn't have BC

The PS3 was a success, and you could buy another controller for fairly cheap.

The WiiU, while not a complete failure, is the 'PSP' of this/last/whatever-it-is gen.
plus, having to fork over 100+USD if your controller craps out on you...no cool, not cool at all.

and 2nd. the controller has nothing to do with backwards compatibility at all so i don't know why you're trying to relate the two things
