I love the game as well, it's landed on a solid 4th favourite game of all time for me, ending included.
You know what? I'm really glad to hear that actually. I've heard that the ending is like a swift, firm kick to the groin from a steel-toed boot to fans of the series, some have even told me it utterly ruined the rest of the game (which they thought was absolutely wonderful). No one has spoiled any of the endings for me yet, so I'll get to make my own judgement. Just the outlook was getting rather bleak due to what I had been hearing.

Then there should be an option to have one massive gangbang orgy in Shepard's cabin just so EVERYONE can "releave the tension" and have a clear, focused head for the final fight. :p
Yeah, but the loyalty missions in ME2 showed us that shaking up isn't the only way to get a clear head for what's probably going to be your last mission.
:p That reminds me, early on when you ask James if he has any family and he mentions that he has an uncle, I immediately thought "You don't have any pent-up, disappearing daddy issues, do you? Last time I had a crew member with those it didn't turn out so well... >.>"

Yeah. Femshep is a bit of a whore. My character is around 98% percent paragon and 2% renegade. Those renegade points all come from being a douche to potential Love Interests to get them to stop liking me. My femshep is monogamously Kaidan.

On the weapons front, that salarain heavy pistol that shoots sticky bombs is pretty badass. I take it everywhere.
Definitely, if I'm not using it I make sure at least one of my squadmates is...that thing is just wwwaaayyy too much fun. :p

I liked the saber, until I needed to fire it very quickly, then I gave it up for the Phaeston again. I like being able to put a lot of bullets down range really quickly. But I also enjoyed the Falcon, nothing like fired a plethora of mini grenades at enemies.

For a large amount of time I was rocking out with a Sentry Turret, a Combat Drone, and a Defense Drone, so I didn't have to worry about being overrun by any enemies, especially seeing as I had a 200% recharge rate from only carrying 1 gun the entire time.
Playing as an Infiltrator, obviously sniper rifles are my thing. I just got the geth sniper rifle last night, that thing is FUN! Sadly, though, there's like .5 second delay in it's firing since you have to hold down the trigger for it to "charge" for that .5 second. This makes it harder to lead and hit moving targets, so I went back to my Black Widow.

Gave Garrus one, though, and he has literally become a Hand of God dispensing divine punishment on the wicked non-believers!

Ahem, I mean Cerberus, Reapers, and at least until recently: Geth.

Well, I can't guarantee you'll like it, hell, I won't be surprised if you hate it, like so many other people here and on the BSN forum do.

I won't spoil it, don't worry, but I will say that for me, the ending was the perfect ending to one of the absolute best games I've played in the last 5 years. I've defended that position several times already and I'd be happy to talk to you about it, once you've completed the game.

The only weapon I use is the Prothean Particle Beam from the From Ashes DLC. That thing is OP as sin. And I keep using it with fully powered incendiary ammo. Unlimited recharging ammo and overdrive mode after holding the trigger a few seconds. I keep shouting 'HIGH MEGA CANNON FIRE!' every time I use it.

Relationships? Right now my inbox has just been flooded by people wanting to meet me at the Citadel. That's what I get from being nice to everyone.

There is nothing that says you have to select the top option every time. I know my shepherd didn't. Nor did I feel particularly compelled to. I think people get to wrapped up in the idea of Paragon vs renegade and I think it was something particularly short sighted for Bioware to do. But how could they have known that people would always choose the top option just because it was paragon. It seems absurd to me and yet loads of people do it.

Again: I'm really glad to hear this. That means that there IS hope that for some people's tastes the ending will be good. Despite all the negativity I've hard about the endings, I'm still eagerly looking forward to beating the game, which should happen later on today.

I <3 the Particle Beam. Seriously, that thing is just ridiculous, especially when you turn it into an "elemental" lazer by hooking it up with some special ammo. As an Infiltrator I get Cryo Ammo...which means that I've got a very effective Freeze Ray...as do my squadmates since I opted for Squad Cryo Ammo. Seriously, we just freeze and destroy everything in our path!

:p Yeah, I know that you don't always have to pick the top-right option, but the top-right option is indeed always the "nice/diplomatic" option. I definitely see the benefit of mixing things up as I've been playing through the game, but for this playthrough I'm going "pure Paragon" because that's what my current Shepard has done through all three games, same way my next playthrough will be with my "pure Renegade" who will be picking all the bottom right options. Future playthroughs beyond that will be mixed up.

First ME1-3 playthrough, I stayed loyal to Ash. Now, I'm gonna go back through and hook up with Liara in all 3, see how that goes. I got the feeling that, given her involvement in all three games, she'd be the most "canon" romance option.

As for weapons, I played through as a Soldier with the Revenant, Armor-Piercing Ammo, and every weapon damage bonus I could get. It was all I used, so my Concussive Shot cooldown was next to nothing, and that was fun. That took down barriers; AP Ammo got armor and cover, then my Frag Grenades got shields on anyone really tough. I had fun.
