I have 3: Steel Balls, Amish and Jake.
Steel Balls - That's what I'm known at at the school bus stop. It came about when one of my friends told his friends that I have steel balls (would you believe it) and that I can break buildings apart with a thrust.
Amish - This one is because I almost never have my mobile with me, so people used to joke that I send carrier pigeons to deliver my messages. That's what my best friends call me.
Jake - That's what my family call me, 'cause it's a contraction of my name.

What about you?

Handbag, which I got during a picnic at Loch Lomond. My friends girlfriend had a bunch of stuff but nothing to carry it in, so I was her handbag for the day. It stuck.

I dunno, nicknames rarely last with me. I suppose, 'cause Sarah is so short anyway.

Well, actually, I suppose my friends do call me Aza *points thumb at username* from time to time. Started in WoW because Azaradel is too long to type and then I suppose it just kinda carried over to real life and stuck. Hell, I refer to myself as Aza most of the time...

There is another Handbag!?

I was referred to as Handbag for a while by some online friends, after a challenge was issued to correctly pronounce my last name. It didn't stick, though.

My nickname was Ninja in high school. Why, Because my friend asked some upper classman randomly what I looked like and he said "He looks like a ninja" They have called me ninja ever since.

Calvin, J.C. and Jingle.

Calvin is just my middle name, J.C. are obviously the initials of my first and middle name and the name I use for online purposes, and Jingle is a name only like four people call me, but it's because I used to carry a lot of change around.

My nicknames are pretty standard and a little boring for my name. I want something different!

Since i'm called Patrick you can probably guess them already:

Pat
Paddy

Oh and another one: Paddy Wee

Daveybabes (some of my female friends call me that)

Davethewavebringingthepaintothegame (used by my black friends, or my white friends who act like they're my black friends)

My personal favorite though is DangerousDave.

i have a few, my parents called me Starshine when i was little, or Star. Both of them were hippies in the 60's and so i was given that as a name.

Gensai comes from my martial arts background, as Kawakami Gensai was a swordsmen from the 19th century who was said to have been feminine and often mistaken for a woman, so being a woman who practices swordsmenship, i was called Gensai as a joke, and it kinda stuck.

For some reason, in high school my friends called me Bento, or Lunchbox. i dont know why.

I assume going by my last name does not count.

My internet handle pretty much IS my nickname, I have gone by Arbiter casually for the past 8-ish years, since I started playing more D&D, Battletech, and other table top games with the same people I play with on Xbox live.

funny thing is I was using this name back in the days of Starcraft. When I popped in Halo 2 for the first time and Saw the Arbiter character my first thought was

"Wow, that armor is badass"

my second thought was "greaaaaaat, that is going to make voice chat so much fun"

Long neck, because I'm tall and Rodney, sometimes Dave, because apparently I look like Rodney Trotter of Only Fools.

That and my last name, one of a few that tended to be used instead. People with names like Daniel and Nathan at my school tended to get called by their last name or variations of it.

Mines Russell or Russ or Rusman. My real name is James.

All started in my first year of Uni when I was walking around my halls with my hair tied up at the top of my head so it would get my clothes wet (just washed it) and one of my neighbors just shouted "RUSSELL" at me because from behind I looked like Russell Brand and he didn't know my real name at that point, everyone had a laugh and agreed and it stuck.

Now more often then not I introduce myself as Russell

(Oh also one friend now calls me Russbeard as I have a beard and my casual clothing choice make me look pirate-esque)

Pherson (pronouces Fer-sun for Fear-sun if you're feeling particularly scottish) - It's my Surname, without the Mc at the front. Even my friends parent's call me this. I once joked that I should change it to my first name. All my friend agreed.

Semi-boner - One of my friend's was bored one day. After hearing the word "Semi-colon", he looked over at me and said "Semi-Colin" (which is my first name) and put two and two together and came up with "Semi-Pherson!" Then later in the year, during a computer class, a few friends decided to change the names of everyone's file's last names to boner. Since mine was already change to Semi-Pherson, it was changed to Semi-Boner.

And thus, Pherson the Half-Hard was born.

I have a few friends who call me "Alu" (which means potatoe in Punjabi) for no particular reason at all. Seriously, why a potatoe? The girl who started it all doesn't even know what Portal(The only link to potatoe I know) is to my knowledge so I'm clueless.
