What are some games with licenses from comic books, books, tv, movies, etc. that were good or at least decent? :D

Batman Arkham Asylum and Arkham City were both good games! Also, Marvel Ultimate Alliance, X-Men Legends, Ultimate Spider-Man and....I know I'm going to laughed at for typing this but...Spongebob Squarepants: Battle for Bikini Bottom. >> What!? It was a decent platformer!! D:<

Spider-Man 2, of course. That's the go to game for this kinda stuff. The Wanted: Weapons of Fate game was kinda generic and bland but enjoyable enough I guess. A fair amount of Star Wars games range from "meh" to "actually really good" which is more than most licences can claim.

Wolverine: Origin! That was one enjoyable ride. The gameplay was tight and satisfying.
Other than that, Spider-man, yes! Spider man 2, ultimate spidey, web of shadow... Playing Shattered dimensions now.

Injustice: Gods among us was great too.

There are 1.6 not-shit Chronicles of Riddick games out there.

They're nothing special though.

I just finished playing Game of thrones RPG, I won't deny the gameplay is pretty bad but I can say in all seriousness the story MORE then made up for it. All the insane and unpredictable crap that goes on in the books and the show is in the game in full force, and the game is about as dark as I've ever seen. Let's just say it's not exactly a "happy ending" type of game ...

True Lies for the SNES. Great little top-down shooter.

I think of KOTOR less as "a good licensed game" and more as "A really great game, which has some movies in the same universe or something".

Gonna take it back...waaaaaaaaaaay back. Capcom has a pretty decent track record of licensed games under it's belt. Ducktales comes to mind immediately (of course there's the Remastered one that's out now as well). Chip & Dale's Rescue Rangers was solid too. Then there were the Dungeons & Dragons arcade brawlers that are pretty much the inspiration to Dragon's Crown, and of course all the Marvel related stuff.

Ehhhh... people kinda give it more credit than it's worth, though. Everything surrounding the web-swinging is really pretty mediocre or downright bad. Ultimate Spider-Man is a much better actual game.

As for my own contribution, the Lord of the Rings hack & slash movie tie-ins. Most specifically Return of the King, but the others weren't that bad. Wish it would've had a bit more level variety, but it was neat that they included a level or two from the preceding titles and covered one or two areas that weren't necessarily big in the films. The large roster and being able to unlock them for play on any level was pretty fun, too, as well as cheats! Cheats as far as the eye can see! I always liked getting unlimited projectiles and just going to town as Legolas, who could pull back the ranged weapon to full strength the fastest of the characters.

Van Helsing on the PS2. It's not bad if you're into Devil May Cry clones. I played through it several times. The new game plus mode was good fun.

I remember an old Toy Story game for the PS1 or 2, can't remember. It had a tree to climb, and one of the bosses was a biplane. I can't remember much of the game, but i really like that when i was younger.

Volition's Punisher game from 2005. Solid TPS with some fun side mechanics that perfectly replicate the atmosphere of the comic and the 2004 movie.
