Well, I'm going to have to say it took them long enough to get the cosmetic equipment in, other MMO's have been doing that for quite some time unless I'm mistaken. LOTRO got it within the first year or so. Hell, I still have my pirate hat n eyepatch from one of the lil events they had cosmetically equipped to my hunter.

I am a huge fan of transmogging. I held on to Second set of starter DK gear for sentimental reasons and now I have a use for it again. Plus I really loved the season 11 PVP gear. And now I don't have to get rid of it. Now lets see if they bring back stuff like T3.

I don't want them to bring back t3 armor because I wanna look unique and be special. jk but death knights don't have a t3 also.

I still love WoW even though there are some things they do that make me go wtf /facepalm (like pet battle system in mist).

The people into the lore just got a what the hell moment when they saw the ending cinematic after deathwing dies in 4.3.

I just can't see myself caring anymore. Cat was interesting as hell at first... but it got boring fast... I figure Pandera will be the same way... except maybe the "interesting as hell at first" part.

:| That's...really disappointing guys. Your 4.1 patch was a rehash of two old raids (stealing two old raids that people - including myself - still loved to run), 4.2 offered Firelands and a new daily hub which wasn't all that exciting. 4.3 offered 3 new 5 mans (which, while fun, are far too easy. The mechanics are too simple and damage is tuned too low on bosses.) and Dragon Soul which even on Argent Dawn EU is being pugged constantly. We're a bloody RP server!

In short, despite a strong raid start (Bastion of Twilight, Throne of the Four Winds, Blackwing Descent), Cataclysm has, or rather, will, ultimately fail to live up to the raid experiences of its expansion predecessors. The lack of non-binary hard modes which you did so well (Sartharion 3D and Ulduar. Oh god do I miss Ulduar) in WotLK are sorely missed. I hope you'll bring them back for MoP.

The new talent calculator for MoP is...odd. I feel that Blizzard failed to properly get their message across about it which lead a lot of people - including myself at first - to denounce it outright. Cataclysm's revamp of talents was different, but still recognisable and familiar. MoP's went too far and Blizzard didn't really manage the proper information control necessary to get that across. Hopefully as more information comes out that will change, since I like the idea of talents being for more 'fun' abilities and less necessary stat increases.

T3 was rehashed into different-coloured T7 when WotLK re-released Naxxramas. If DKs ever got a T3, it'd just be a recoloured T7. Which, frankly, looks pretty shit. So yeah, no thanks. You can get your re-release of T3 if you want though. Only thing I have my eye on is the Corrupted Ashbringer.

Oh, and when will you let us get a bigger backpack? For god's sake Blizzard, my bank is full of 20-22 slot bags and yet my backpack is still a measly 16 slots?

Agreed

Wow is coming to an end now and I think this new expansion will bring more negativity than positivity to their subscriptions.
Although it will still be a long time before it becomes a dud.

Ugh I am really sick of reading these news articles on this blinding white background... anyways, I do love the cosmetic options, right now I'm rocking the DK set you end up with at the end of it's starting area, I love how that looks

as muchas i enjoy wow, i have to agree here. It wont effect me, because i dont give a toss about whats in a game as long as i enjoy it, and im actually aware that Pandaren existed prior to now. but im also aware that about 80% of the wow community DOESNT know that the pandaren werent just shat out of blizzards ass in the last 4 months. seriously, go ask most people whether they played W3 or others. mostll say no.

I am surprised that they are taking Deathwing out of the picture so early. A year seems to short to bring a big boss like him in and then take him out.

I don't like the new talent system at all. What do you mean they got their message wrong? I think something in a game should speak for itself. I understand what they are telling us it is. They say they are removing the illusion of many choices and adding less choices but more genuine ones. This is crap if I want to spec wrong I can spec wrong, the more constrained the talent system got the more I hated the game. I miss seeing frost fire mages and triple tree hunters.

And it sorta says to me they are dumbing this stuff right down. I like less constrained talent systems. Less constrained the better. I don't care if there is a cookie cutter spec, if I have to go out of my way to look that up and theorycraft I am spending more time obsessing about the game and investing getting attached to my character. I can spend a lot of time investing in my characters in game but its the games that get you to invest out of game time into your character that have staying power. I think talents are one of the ways these games can be addictive. I know people who obsessed about talents constantly. Heck some guy found out I played wow and he showed me his rogue talent data sheet print outs( This was late BC or in early Wrath). Thats a guy who is not just going to quit the game on a whim.

I dont know maybe I'm wrong. This stuff isnt out yet.

so with the greatest threats defeated, will the main focus of the story be the horde/alliance conflict once again?

I guess thats what drew me into WoW in the first place, the overarching conflict between the two factions, everything you did was practically a war effort.

this pretty much changed after the burning crusade, and frankly, I think the shared hardships would rather inspire brotherhood instead of bloodshed, peace would make sense story-wise.

on the other hand, I haven't played after the first few weeks of Wrath, so I could've missed something.

It leaned heavily towards peace in WotLK,
then some forsaken betrayal went down, which lead to the human (peaceful) leader being replaced by a brooding warmonger.
Then cata replace the moderately peaceful thrall with their new uber-warmonger Garosh.

So naturally in the face of global extinction, these two leaders grow as individuals, put their differences aside and fight this threat togeth... no wait, they just keep trying to kill each other.
It's left to some unnamed heroes with a loot lust and a death wish to deal with deathwing.

In regards to Cata, as a raider with a weekly raid group, I've enjoyed raiding,
outside raiding? there's not a lot really to do.
perhaps more specifically, I've been playing too long and no longer desire to do anything outside the raid.

Yeah, pretty much.

Too little, too late, pops into mind when I read about the changes to WoW. I would've LOVED Transmogrification when I was playing, but that time is long past, and I'm certainly not considering re-subbing when "Mists of Pandaria" is what there is to look forward to.

The Escapist: That was one of the big complaints from when I was playing was that one people got up to a certain level everybody's armor looked the same and has transmogrification made it look like a more diverse group of players?
Mister Tito I hate to diss but that's really bad use of language. That's Rick Perry style.

EDIT: every time I read that question I get twice as shocked by how bad it is. Thanks for the comic relief!
Ugh, totally write good when question asking.

Thanks for the heads up!

Its only about a month faster, than it took to get to ICC in wrath. We'll see if they can actually follow through with that 'faster expansions' line this time. I don't know how well the player base is gonna hold up with another 12 month-long dead space, if they repeat the cata development cycle. I for one will just be playing TOR until Mists comes out.
