"I think we got a crazy with us. Come on, let's get you to a settlement." Joseph said as he helped the man to his feat. He dew the hood of his cloak over his head and started to walk to the entrance of the cave. He turned around to face Rachael and Werner. "You two coming?"

"Don't suppose we've much choice," Werner sighe, from his resting place against the cave's wall. "Just don't don't expect this old man to carry the lad." He hefted himself to his feet, pushing off with his walking stick, making sure to make the laborious grunting noises men his age were supposed to make when they reached his age. "So, lad," he said to the new addition as he was once more on his feet, "don't suppose you've got a name, now do you?"

"Well, nice to meet you Dane, but I think we need to get you to some nice men I know the next town over. They'll take care of you and feed you and keep you safe." Joseph said once he noticed the torn straight jacket Dane was using. "Say, boy, how old are you, and where you get the jacket?"

Werner started judgmentally, his mouth slightly agape. His eyebrows inched slowly upwards as he watched Dane's antics. "Superb, exactly what we don't need..." he sighed heftily. "A crazy amnesiac with a puppet who talks to him. Tremendous." He followed Joseph and Dane out of the cave, his cane clicking loudly on the hard ground. He pulled the brim of his hat down a little as he entered into the light. "I can't say I've met many who are so...forward...with their mentality," he mumbled under his breath, evidently concerned over the dubiour sanity of this boy.

"Wait a second, I think if we just give this guy to some random in the wastes, he'll end up dying." Rachael walks over to where Dane is lying unconcious and lifts him up. "All he needs is a friend out here, not like he's going to be a lot of trouble for us to tolerate anyway, what do you say?"

"I say we turn him into the prison in Rustdale and be done with him, but if the little girl wants to keep the crazy guy, then fine, we can." Joseph said when Rachael picked the man off the ground. "I wouldn't trust him, god knows what he might do, but we can keep him with us."

"Nothing, would you like to come with us? We're just wandering the wastes basically."
Rachael looks at Joeseph with a hint of anger in her eye. "I'm not a little girl."

"You rather are," Werner noted. She was, after all, considerably younger than either Joseph or himself. Hell, she was young enough to be his very own daughter. "And if we keep him, we best keep him on a short leash. I can't imagine what good might come of keeping a lad who passes out arguing with himself. But, we'll humour you, lass. Just remember, this was your idea, and your fault if he makes us regret keeping him."

"So, now that whether or not we keep the puppy is settled, what do you say we try and find a settlement to camp at? I'm tired of sleeping on the sand." Joseph said after letting Werner speak.

"A nearby settlement sounds good, just please Joeseph, don't say Bartertown over and over again like when we normally try to find a settlement, maybe I can find some clothes there aswell." Rachael sighs and walks out of the cave and waves to the rest of the guys to come with her.

"Huh... Did you just call her 'my dear'? The only reason we, and subsequently, Rachael, are helping you is because we would be complete bastards if we didn't." Joseph said after hearing what Dane said. I don't think I like this guy. He tries anything funny, then it's four barrels for him. Rachael should know better than this by now. You leave who you must and kill who you must, and just try and survive the rest of the time.

The group head out of the cave and walk the wastes for a couple of hours, over the time the rest of the group gets to know Dane better and learns his past and the history of Higginson."

As you all walk through the desert you come across a small town called 'Regentville'. You walk in and explore the town.

"Hmmm.."
Rachael walks over to the nearest store she sees and looks at it's wares. "Finally, some frigin clothes." "Here." She hands the store owner a few pieces of rock. "That should cover it."

To all of you a simple note, the rock Rachael gave the owner of the store is in fact unrefined gold, there are other methods of buying and selling things. Barter, Bottle caps, Post-Destruction money but she was using this as an alternative. Also I turn the clock a couple of hours just so we could know Dane better okay?

Over the week Joseph had been watching Dane, making sure he wasn't going to take advantage of Rachael. He had taken on a bit of a fatherly role with her, trying to defend her from the horrors of the world, though his grip was loosening on her, as happened to children who grow up.

"Wait, so this entire time me and Warner been with you, you've been stark naked under that cloak?" Joseph shuddered slightly as he said it. Ho god, now I feel dirt for making all those jokes. And why the hell was someone her age going around nude with two older men? Ho god, don't tell me... Joseph threw up a little in his mouth.

Rachael giggles a little bit. "So? It's not you were looking right?"
She puts her clothes on and tightens the cloak around her neck. "So food?"

For the last week, Werner had been stoic, trying to get a grasp on this Dane guy. The lad was...unsettling to say the least. He was learning to grow accustomed to the mildly eerie aura around the lad, and had slowly grown back to his usual snarky self. But he held his tongue, as he was wont to do when it came to Rachael's wishes--he had nothing to lose by allowing the princess to have her way, after all, with Joseph taking on the role of her father, he supposed it was his job to be grand-dad.
"So...we aren't leaving Dane here then?" He asked jokingly as the milled about in the town. "I suppose I could eat. Are you sure you won't hurt us for hurting nature, princess? I'd hate to have our meal ruined by animal cruelty."
