So, I'm on a bit of a downer right now.

The reason is rather simple. Basically, I was meant to be going to the European Juggling Convention in Munich, right as we speak (you know, cause I'm the 'Resident Juggler' and whatnot). The British Juggling Convention was the most awesome experience of my life, and I heard the EJC was even better, so I was pretty damned excited to be going, and had been preparing for a long time.

The problem is, at the very last minute, I found out my passport had expired. We checked if I could get an emergency passport (takes at least a week and £130), if I could go with just a driving licence (nope), we tried everything we could, but to no avail.

So, on the eve of my trip, I had to cancel my trip that I had been preparing so long for. Needless to say, it kinda left me in tears. :'(

Now that I'm unexpectedly stuck at home for another week or so, I'm trying to think of ways to cheer myself up from this rather unfortunate event. Does anyone have any advice for what I could do? Thankies... >_<

Here be a juggling video for your efforts. (sigh...)

Eat chocolats. Chocolat always cheers me up. ...Although eating out of sadness is not usually the best approach.

Basically, do whatever you do to keep distracted. Play games, watch TV, chat with friends, hear some yeppy-kai-yeey music, that kind of stuffs. It will eventually pass.

I'm sure there are plenty of juggling conventions on the horizon(I guess?)

Well could you practice juggling at home and find out about any juggling related events? Whilst saving up for what is sure to be a very sex and drugs filled juggling event next year?

It sucks and I'm sure you're really disappointed. Make sure to get your passport ready as soon as possible so it doesn't happen again, and in the meantime maybe you can gather some friends and hang out and have a mini convention or something?
Do things you like, try to make it a memorable time anyways, so that in the future when you think back you won't think it sucked that you missed the convention, but rather that it allowed you to have an even better time!
