Hell at least walking simulators require you to constantly input and look around for shit.

Isn't that exactly what Life is Strange does? Most of the game is you walking around and looking for shit.

Yeah that's true in a way, there is a lot of pointless examination in episode one though, and your QTE's are more dialog choices than actual actions. I just couldn't stand the story I experienced so far to continue through that game.
