It had been ten years since the alien invasion and the world had rebuilt what it lost. The earth was saved by the League of metahumans after a long and bloody war. In the aftermath the metahumans gained world renown and became famous, their names and deeds of valor echoed in dozens of languages. You are one of these superhumans, but whether you embraced or rejected your life of glamour is your decision alone. Old rivalries remain as heroes are unmasked and the world worships its saviors. The question remains unanswered, and only a few dare to address its very existence - Will they come again?

The invaders came to earth unannounced. None knew of their immediate arrival and their first act was the destruction of the world?s largest city. The ruins of New-Delhi and its surroundings were the greeting card of the oldest alien race in the galaxy, as it approached earth intending to conquer it and enslave its people. The governments on earth first thought this a declaration of war by one of their own, and thus a third world war was started while outside invaders were slowly edging closer to the solar system. When the black ships came, nearly half of the world was in conflict, and it took four more months for a ceasefire to be announced and a new alliance made against the alien invaders. Already weakened by infighting, the earth?s forces were unable to fight against superior alien technology and firepower. Quickly their combined forces dwindled, until all that remained was the weapon to end all wars. Determined to stop the detonation of nuclear bombs on earth, a league of metahumans, following a series of small victories against the alien horde, convinced earth governments to abandon the suicidal act. The league, a coalition of superheroes, supervillains and the gifted, banded together and fought against the invaders. They were lead by a German metahuman superhero, Ubermentch, and financed almost exclusively by the supervillain ?the chairman?. Some of those who distinguished themselves in the fighting were Clipper, a foul-mouthed British fireman, the red man, an animist shapeshifting native-american, and the mysterious stranger, an ancient magician of unknown origins. Others such as Grannie Frost and Typhoon caused as much harm as good when fighting the invaders, as their powers tied with an area of affect and hurt those who were in the warzone. Vagabond, The Cannibal and Genshis were the last survivors in the suicidal attack of the mother-ship, where the battered remains of Vagabond dealt the final blow of the conflict and destroyed the behemoth.

Out of tens of thousands of meta humans, only a few hundred remained. They were those who were strong or lucky enough to survive the war - and those who kept their head low and away from the fighting. The remaining few soon became world-renowned celebrities, and were praised and hailed throughout by the people of earth. Ten years later, and a new popular culture revolving around these heroes emerged, following their every step in life. A few enjoyed the attention and the perks that came with it while other protested their invasion of privacy. Many took advantage of the situation to their own good, while others took to hiding where they could not be disturbed. After the war the super-villains were forgiven for their previous deeds, but old rivalries remained between the metahumans.

You?re one of those metahumans, a superhero, a supervillain or a gifted individual who lived through the crises and found themselves worshipped as gods. Your reaction to this change in attitude towards metahumans from suspicion and hostility to sympathy and worship is a part of your personality. How would you live in this new world , and could the invaders ever come back?

Ubermentch- The German nation?s metahuman had cleaned deutchland from crime and evil long ago, and it now stands guard against those who wish to hurt his people. He has Super-Strength, Super-Endurance, Super-Speed, Flight and a lot of other neat powers, this is one of the strongest metahumans in existence.

He lead the metahuman league against the alien invaders, earning himself the nickname ?The Strongest Man Alive?. He enjoys his new world-fame and continues to live out his life in his homeland.

Vagabond - Nicknamed ?The Wandering Jew?, one of the oldest known meta-humans, and one of the most mysterious. The Vagabond cannot die, and can regenerate himself endlessly, escaping injury and death. He can endure much punishment, but isn?t as powerful as other metahumans. His enemies call him ?The cockroach?, from a story where he once continued fighting even after his head was ripped off his body.

He lead the vanguard force that charged at the main fleet of the invaders, and the one who made the final blow that destroyed the mother-ship. Hailed as the savior of mankind, the Vagabond fell back into obscurity as quickly as he had moved up the ranks of the league in the great war. He continues to walk the earth, looking for a place to rest and settle his old bones, shying away from any unwanted attention. Information about him is most sought after by metahuman fans.

Clipper - A relatively new British superhero, He is all that embodies fire. He is immune to flames and heat, and can manufacture heat himself. He can spontaneously create flames out of thin air, engulf himself in fire and even fly through the use of the energy of fire. He?s a very powerful superhero, but his powers are dangerous and unpredictable, and he sometimes may lose control over them.

One of the great heroes of the conflict, Clipper gained tremendous fame in his home and became Britain?s most desired bachelor, garnering even more attention than the royal family. He loves the life of luxury he now lives in, and spends his days enjoying himself and creating more scandals than the British yellow magazine industry could handle.

Soaring Eagle (or ?Eagle?) - Nicknamed ?The Red Man? by his foes is a native-american born metahuman with the ancestral ability of tapping into the spirits of the world. This animist superhero can gather strength from an elephant and speed from a chita, while calling the wind to his favor and giving him flight. He can communicate with nature and all that belongs in its domain. He hates urban environments since he can no longer sense the world around him, and dislikes man?s attempts at taking more land from nature.
Soaring Eagle used his newly found fame to bring the hopeless situation of his people to the world stage. The native-americans received great attention from world governments, and their plight soon became one of the top priorities in the reformed United States. They prospered with the help of Soaring Eagle. Another agenda of his was the preservation of wildlife, and he remains one of the top advocates of nature preservation in the world.

Genghis - The Warrior of the Steppe, or ?Horseman? is the spiritual incarnation of the mighty Genghis Khan who conquered to the end of the world and crowned himself the strongest man on earth. Channeling the powers of his ancestors, Genghis, a Chinese-born superhero attained mastery over the bow and arrow and other weapons, enhanced strength, speed and endurance along with the power to summon wraiths of his long-dead loyal soldiers to aid him in battle.

Genghis was at the front line during the invasion, and along with his fellow fighters brought down the invasion fleet. Fearing a return to his homeland, Genghis decided to spend the rest of his live in France, and was accepted without question.

Cuauhtemoc - Sometimes referred to (in secret) as ?Hannibal the Cannibal? (Or ?The Cannibal?) this metahuman claims to be the last of his kind of flesh-eaters. He is a Mexican-born Cannibal who draws his powers on the flesh he consumes, drawing strength from the still beating hearts of his kills, either man or beast. He absorbs the strength and life force of those he feasts upon, and therefore have lived for many decades and remained young. His endurance is legendary - he is freakishly resistant to trauma blows. He has an overdeveloped sense of smell, can see in the dark and has other abilities he draws from the wild.

The Cannibal is perhaps the most hated metahuman in existence, more even after the invasion. His feats of bravery were shown together with him feasting on the flesh of fallen soldiers, metahumans and aliens alike. He exiled himself from the world, choosing to seek his roots again in Africa and find the origins of his people.

The Chairman - Commonly referred to as ?The (Black) Boss?, this half Sudanese Egyptian businessman is the man who pulls the strings in the largest Arab nation in the world. Strong ties with the Saudi royal family and the Gulf principalities had often put him at odds with foreign intelligence agencies as he rubbed shoulders with infamous terrorists and mujahideen. His influence over the Egyptian military, who had once ruled the nation, had extended far beyond Egypt?s borders. He is well-known and allied with other ?businessmen? in the weapons trade. He has extensive investments in Africa, often finding himself facing against the mighty Eastern Dragon as it stretches its claws over the virgin lands of the dark continent. A financial and political mastermind, governments rise and fall as his command in the region and Egypt had never been more powerful before him.

The Chairman was one of the few metahumans which were not exposed to the public eye during the conflict. The invasion gave him immense power, and under his leadership he worked in the shadows to incorporate neighboring nations into his own Egypt, creating a newly formed Arab union that became a new world power. He continues with his schemes and illegal actions, and sometimes finds himself standing against former allies and other governments in his dealings.

Typhoon - A Filipino born with a sea-creature?s characteristics, like gills, this metahuman has a tight connection with the oceans since her conception at sea. Able to control water and most sea-life, Typhoon is famous through the islands for her fun-loving nature and naivety.

Typhoon became a Filipino celebrity and was dubbed ?The Mermaid? by some. She became the nation?s most desired woman and a spokeswoman for the Philippines in the world. Her powers helped stop impending disasters that once struck at the island nation, but those criticizing her claimed she could have done so in the past, saving countless lives that were lost at sea.

Grannie Frost - sometimes called ?The Bear? by her adversaries, this large and intimidating old woman is the Sami harbinger of cold. Short, broad and heavy, this old hairy woman freezes everything it wants at will. She stays close to home, but may wander through the frozen northern wastes of Siberia in search of a meal or a foolish traveller she can tell her story to.

The Bear hated everything that followed the great war. She was barely dragged out of her home in the north to fight for the league, but Ubermentch?s warnings of a desolated earth and scorched Siberia frightened Grannie Frost so much she fought the aliens ferociously. After the war, Russian and Scandinavian nations honored her by giving her people special priviledges and even discussing creating a unified state of their own. Grannie Frost did not care - all she wanted was a return to her old home by a frozen lake.

The Stranger - Known as ?The Rug Seller?, ?The Preacher?, ?The Scholar? and even ?The Devil?, this strange and questionably Persian magic user is shrouded with mystery. Those who studied The Stranger speculate he originated from the oldest epic of all - the epic of Gilgamesh, where he obtained a life of eternity and used it to gather knowledge of the magical realm beyond that of man. His powers are unknown and therefore are unlimited. He is known to transmute matter, bring back the dead and move through space and time unhindered.

The stranger was never again seen after the invasion, and only a few of the league members can contact him.

A free for all game where you will have freedom to engage other player characters and NPCs, create your own instances and adversaries while living out the life you chose for your character. However, in the background some small events will occur that signal a dark future to come. The GM won't have ultimate control over the plot, but will be more of a guide, with veto powers. The GM will have control over the above mentioned NPCs. Players will have more control over the plot and their character's own stories.
The example characters mentioned above can give you a direction towards what kind of metahumans exist, but at the end your choices are endless.
A fair warning - characters shouldn't have the same knowledge as players do, players can't kill other player's characters or major NPCs without good reason, getting permission and writing a hell of a fight. Villains will be villains, but don't be mean-spirited jerks that just want to mess things up for your fellow players. GM's word is law.

Before the invasion he was a loner who would do commissions for other super-villains if they could find him and killing a normal or even a superhero was fine with him.

I decided a transgender necromancer was just the character for this. Don't ask why.
Birth Name: Chinedu Ihejirika

Name: "Lich", "Papa Legba", "Voodoo King/Queen"

Age: 50

Race: African, Nigerian

Appearance: Tall, gaunt, and androgynous man of Igbo descent, he tends to wrap himself in several layers of clothing. Mostly he's seen in a dark brown, blood splattered hooded robe, under a black longcoat and a moss green scarf. His face was almost always seen painted during the Great War, but as of late he finds no need for it. He has two great scars, the first being from his mastectomy, his second being his right arm, which has been cut off at the elbow. He now wears a prosthetic in the shape of the bones that were once there. His grey hair is usually in dreads, and he is clean shaven. He walks with a cane and a limp.

Personality: Chin is an oddball, with a love of quipping and strategy, and is all too familiar with the Grim Reaper. His mind can at times be unpredictable, though he always fights for what he believes to be the right path. He is fearless above all else, unafraid of his death and all else in the world. He even fancies he has a plan to take down Ubermentch if it came down to it. His ego can lead to mistakes, but he is nothing if not a master of self control. Most would do well to notice this...

Alignment: A chaotic force for good.

Powers: Necromancy

Powersource: The true Papa Legba, supposedly, as well as his own personal powers.

Strengths: His greatest strength is his mind, though he does have a host of minor powers, and is a rather accomplished surgeon. Aside from his ability to treat the gates of hell and heaven as playthings, he is also a walking voodoo doll. He can transfer his pains and wounds on to other beings (so long as he himself can survive them), or take them on to himself. He is most effective with big battles, and if he must fight, the longer it wears on the more powerful he becomes. He has also learned how to block out pain in his mind, allowing him to take massive damage without showing it.

Weaknesses: He is a weak, frail old man with a grating personality. His servants can be rather powerful, but he himself is rather weak. He can only survive so much abuse, and even then a fatal shot will kill him outright. Quick and small scale are where he is at his weakest.

Training: A few voodoo rituals, but he is an accomplished surgeon. Not the best physician, though. His cure for most illness is "Zombies".

Equipment, Gadgets and Ancient Relics: His skeleton prosthetic arm is slightly stronger than a normal one, but otherwise is not special. He also carries a serpent headed black wood cane, which is actually a shotgun, with only one shell in it. A necromancer never plays fair.

Biography: Chin was born in Nigeria, a woman and the daughter of a long, long line of priests and priestesses. It was only natural he excelled in his studies, leading a rather boring life, save his dabbling into less savory rituals. There were very few sparks, except one time when he got involved in a car accident. He lost his arm and began to truly evaluate his place in life, what he wanted to do with himself rather than live in a studious haze until he became a true priestess. He discovered he was uncomfortable with the gender he was born with, eventually getting surgeries and such to change. A minor fuss was made, but his closest friends supported him throughout. He also dabbled into necromancy, pushing even more away from him.

Eventually he found his greatest supporters, in the Orishas. An oracle called upon him, following the heart attack of the previous High Priest, and deemed him worthy. This was hardly answered with no resistance, but most remained quiet rather than go against the word of the Lord. He was named High Priest just in time for the first war to begin.

Though he refused to throw himself behind either faction in the infighting and chaos, he didn't restrict his warriors from joining with the main force of the military. Perhaps this weakened them when the Black Ships finally came, but he did throw his entire religion into support off Humanity, even combat training them, with spells and rituals few knew of.

At first he was proud to send his most powerful remaining voodoo warriors to help humanity defend itself, though as more and more warriors fell, so too did morale. Some went so far as to blame him for their losses, until he agreed to join the front lines, with his people. After all, leading through example is how one should. Perhaps his people can be attributed to some of the few victories before the Meta-Humans began their part, sowing disease and famine on the alien ranks.

When the metahumans DID come together, he was of the first to join them, though even then he was aging. He became a great strategic mind, his fondness for necromancy kept him out of the public eye however. He began making frequent guerrilla assaults on the enemy, using the dead of both sides to bolster his numbers until he could safely engage in big battles. These usually were interrupted or taken over by other meta-humans, rarely did he receive acknowledgment for his role in the war. He did manage to save a metahuman, a genius who was being hunted by the aliens. His undead armies with his robots turned the tide of battle, and in thanks they teamed up for future battles. And, Chin was given his new arm, which was quickly put to use.

Their story together is well known, though Chin got snubbed often by the egotistical Professor he called a friend, a white, straight European man with a straight edge outlook. He never truly
cared for fame, however, and was noted by many regardless. He even became a figure in LGBT rights and race relations, though he rarely spoke on the matter. Too much to do, after all.

He wished desperately to be a part of the attack on the mothership, but instead allowed The Professor to take an army of cyborg zombies to assist. He learned it was a massacre later, though a success at any rate. He went back to looking after his flock, only more recently his parts in the war being spoken of, and him gaining fame. He finds it more annoying than much else, but has used his money to help feed the poor and other charitable pursuits. Though he did buy himself a rather nice summer home in Miami...

Finished, unless I want to do some more stuff with powers later.

A skin-changer, low-tech kind of metahuman who was just a teenager when the invasion first started out... It would be cool to see him abuse his powers to extract benefits all around, but other metahumans wouldn't like him stealing their likeness and impersonating them... Awaiting your Bio.
About that Chitin... Is it a close-quarters weapon, can he use it while impersonating others and how strong is it?

Notes:
I will finish it soon, hopefully.
.
Is there a reason why he's a transgender, except for "Why the fuck not"? A Voodoo Priest with a deadly prosthetic, ties to the other-world and mastery over the voodoo arts? I like the concept and I'm very curious to see how s/he(?) fought during the invasion, and how it affected his life.
.
Note to all - If your character is too young, you could have avoided the fighting (or if you actively ran away from it). How does your character interact with other heroes and their newly found fame?
Be more specific about your powers since you can't reinvent your character mid-game or conjure new unrelated powers you forgot to mention in the character sheet.
Hmm... I expected more superheroes than this. A male opportunistic shapeshifter, an electric thief for hire and a transgender voodoo occultist are a very good start, but I want even more diversity and stronger powers. You should have survived the invasion while hundreds of others perished - what makes you so special?

to answer you question, an electromancer controls electrons and can chose the way electricity flows. other things he can do is make the electrons in the person or thing he is fighting drop then unleash a huge blast of electrons from himself. this will cause something like a static shock, in the area high enough to burn through metal and cook a human.

conductive materials make it easier, but he can work with the electrons in the matter around him and himself.

on top of all that he also can just get close and kick or punch them. then turning his body into an electrical form he would cause massive internal organ failure. or something like boiling their blood in their veins.

even higher than perfect shape-shifting, electromancy is one of the most powerful powers out there. because if your willing to give him enough lee way he can become a puppet master and control anything with a nervous system(uses electrical signals to make the body work). i didn't chose this because i believe u would shoot that down. if you don't than i will be adding it to his sub-powers.

.
It's good you've explained your powers. I sense that some heroes would be the anti-thesis for your character (Like Typhoon or the Bear, which have control over water and ice), but all in all your character is a tier one metahuman...
However I do find it troublesome that you added the puppet master ability. I am uncomfortable with it, since it means you will have control over other people's characters and NPCs. This, however, can be remedied by limiting the extent of the control to a few actions, most notably would be freezing in place. It works well with the way the character plays, but it also allows him to 'take control' over others by transforming into electricity and settling into a body, then hijacking its nervous system. There should be some limitation on its use, either the duration or the actions permitted. Think this through and come up with a more refined 'puppet master' super-power that isn't as over-powered. Think Magneto vs. wolverine. When you're done, incorporate your details into the character sheet itself.

I have ideas for two sheets, which I may be able to get up today if I'm not too busy, but I'm not sure.

Birth Name: Lu Wen

Name (and other nicknames): Cipher

Age: 29

Race: Far-East Asian (Chinese)

Appearance: Cipher was never one for elaborate costumes. These days, he gets around in a black leather jacket and hoodie combo, with faded jeans, a baseball cap and black boots. 5ft 7in tall and scrawny, much of his face is obscured by a mop of black hair and a rough beard. When he moves around, his gait is short and hurried, keeping his hands jammed into his pockets, and actively avoiding making eye contact with others. Watch him closely, and you can observe a constant stream of twitches and ticks in his face and extremities. He also mutters to himself under his breath.

Personality: Cipher was always anti-social, prone to erratic mood swings and more than a little paranoid, the side-effects of his ability manifesting as something very similar to autism. In recent years, after the war, these traits have only got worse, and he is in danger of losing his grip on humanity completely, which could have dire consequences for everyone. Cipher spends most of his energy these days trying to wipe any trace of himself off the grid, convinced that everyone is out to get him, as he pursues bitter grudges and increasingly insane theories on how to cure what ails him.

Alignment: Chaotic Neutral alignment. Cipher has been a hero in his time, and is not quite a villain yet, but a little push in the wrong direction is all it would take to send him over the edge.

Powers: It is estimated that most humans only use a maximum of 15% of their brain's procession power. Cipher uses a minimum of 80%. He is quite literally a human super-computer, and has the power to remotely access any computing device that he so chooses, and bend it to his will. In the digital realm, there is nowhere he can't go, and nothing he cannot control. Far prefers urban environments because of the proximity to so much tech he can use, though as his powers have grown stronger, he doesn't even need to be remotely near a device to control it.

Powersource: Gene therapy, cybernetic enhancements, and extreme conditioning inflicted on him as a child. Cipher's abilities are a result of an illegal experiment (bankrolled by The Chairman) to unlock the full potential of the human brain, and create the perfect infiltrator. The experiment worked, though not to the benefit of those conducting it.

Strengths: Can make any computer, or equipment requiring some element of computing power, do pretty much anything he wants, from simply shutting down, through accessing systems beyond the reach of even the most gifted regular hacker, to attacking anyone that Cipher orders it to (where the physical capability of the machine exists). Physically, Cipher is no brawler, but he can use advanced (though not super-human) speed and agility to flee from confrontation, and is very good at hiding.

Recently, Cipher has begun to theorise that, as the human brain is just an organic computer, he should be able to, with practice, adapt his powers to exert control over other human minds. His experiments with this are still in their early stages, and he hasn't been able to succeed in much more than giving other people hallucinations and sensory overload. However, he is becoming obsessed with the idea, convinced that being able to fully understand other human minds is the key to healing his own.

Weaknesses: As previously stated, the double-edge of having such a connection to the digital world, means that Cipher is never fully present in the real one. Without help, he is easily distracted and nervous. Beyond that, he is particularly vulnerable to electric shock. An electrical charge doesn't even need to be applied to him physically to hurt him. If one is used to overload a piece of machinery that Cipher's mind is interfacing with, he feels it as if it were applied to him directly. His greatest weakness these days, however, is the brain tumour that has developed as a result of his actions during the war. Cipher now gets frequent nosebleeds, headaches, dizzyness and even hallucinations, which only serve to worsen his mental health.

Training: No training other than the conditioning he was given as a child, though he has taught himself free-running to get around quickly in urban environments. His understanding of the nature of his abilities has also deepened over time. If you ask him how he is able to control machines, he will say that the connection is symbiotic, less about 'controlling' machines as it is about 'understanding' them.

Equipment, Gadgets and Ancient Relics : No gadgets required other than his brain and the cybernetic implants present within his skull. His paranoia, however, means that you will often find him armed, and he's a very good shot and quick on the draw when he needs to be.

Biography: An orphan growing up on the streets of Bejing, Lu was kidnapped at the age of six to serve as one of several test subjects in the aforementioned illegal experiments funded by The Chairman. After years of experimental and traumatic procedures, Lu was the only survivor, and the only success. Unfortunately for the scientists and their backers, as Lu's understanding of his own potential grew, he became aware that there was no cage his captors could put him in that he couldn't escape from. He manipulated the electronic systems of the research facility in which he was being held, killing most of the staff on site in the process.

Homeless and now on the run, Lu went to ground, and spent years concentrating on little expect removing his own electronic footprints, so those that had captured him before could never find him again. A few years later, however, the persona of Cipher resurfaced, as a criminal using his powers for personal gain. Stealing from bank accounts, accessing state secrets and selling them to the highest bidder... if it could be done digitally, Cipher was pretty much doing it, and making a killing too. The fact also that he never had to be front and centre to do any of this, and was well practised at removing traces of his presence, made it next to impossible for any law enforcement or government agency to pin him down. Ciper was never really troubled by the illegality of his actions, however, he was one of the first to realise, through accessing satellite data, what had really happened to New Delhi, and came out of the shadows to warn his super-human brethren.

While never a front-line fighter, Cipher was a great help in maintaining communications and providing valuable intel during the war. His greatest act of heroism came in the final battle, where Cipher was able to break into the alien fleets battle-net. The dissemination of so much data simultaneously would have been an incredible feat in and of itself. What made it all the more special, was that Cipher was essentially hacking an alien version of the internet, running off alien code that he had never experienced before. It was akin to reading every single piece of literature in existence, with zero prior understanding of language, and the re-writing it, all in the space of one minute. When he succeeded, Cipher was able to disrupt alien communications, navigation and weapons targeting systems, forcing several alien ships to fire on or crash into each-other, which provided the opening for the final assault on the mother ship.

Such a feat almost killed him instantly. As it was, Cipher was in a coma for weeks, and awoke with extensive brain damage that later manifested as a aggressive tumour. While he was never one for the limelight in the first place, Cipher never really focus-tested as well as some of the other meta-humans, so was largely shunned from the limelight even after his recovery. With the world still drunk on victory, nobody wanted to see Cipher's feeble, trembling form on TV, as a reminder of what the victory had cost. These feelings of helplessness and abandonment after the war drove Cipher even further away from the rest of the world as he recovered.

Notes: Cipher has a bitter grudge against many of the more famous meta-humans, feeeling, whether justly or unjustly, that he was robbed of a place beside them in the halls of fame. He also particularly hates The Chairman, thanks to their past.

That's one, I'll have the other up sometime later.

Birth Name: Shanti Vatuu

Name (and other nicknames): Vortex (though she never uses that name herself). Known as 'The Goddess of The Mountain', in the native language of her home village.

Age: 37

Race: Central Asian (Indian/Pakistani)

Appearance: Vortex stands at 5ft 11in, with a slow, yet confident gait and a defined hourglass figure. Her body language is the very image of controlled serenity, with every inflection of every movement having a singular, almost eerie, dedication to its purpose. She has a narrow face with high, sharp cheekbones, hazel skin and dark, chestnut eyes. Her long, black hair is often observed to move around her in waves as if it was in its own seeperate, low-gravity environment.

Her costume is a crimson and bronze afair, with the main body of the suit in striking red, and the metal greaves, gauntlets, cape and helm in bronze. The design of the armour is largely plain, with no sharp edges or bulky protrusions, similar in style to ancient Greek armour. The only visible decoration is the crest of the helm, which depicts a swirling vortex with a deep purple opal set in the centre.

Personality: Most of the time, Vortex is calm and measured to a fault. She is a little distant, though not to the point of being cold. While wearing her armour pieces, she is prone to slipping into a meditative state where she does not speak of move an inch for whole days at a time. When returning from these states, she has been known to describe an experience of being outside her physical body, her consciousness melding with cosmic forces infinite and untouchable. She is not always away with the fairies though. If you make an enemy of her, usually by threatening the people she has made it her life's mission to protect, her wrath is a terrible thing, and her retribution is as swift as it is merciless.

Alignment: Neutral Good. Vortex is altruistic at heart. She wishes to help others and wants nothing in terms of personal gain. However, she would not flinch at the notion of massacring thousands, if those guilty thousands threatened the lives of innocent millions.

Powers: Physics manipulation (from simple telekinesis, all the way to the ability to create localised black-holes and wormholes).

Powersource: Her armour, which possesses a kind of semi-consciousness of its own, almost as if it retains an imprint of its previous owner, in order to guide their worthy successor in mastering the powers it provides. Taking the armour away might make Vortex an ordinary human, but another ordinary human wearing the armour would not possess the power of Vortex. It becomes more than dull metal only in response to her.

Strengths: Now a master of her powers, Vortex is comparable to a demigod (and indeed is worshipped as such by the villagers who live on the slopes of her mountain. She can pull entire platoons of soldiers into a singularity, she can pull a submarine out of the water from 200m below. She can 'fly' through creating an anti-gravity field around herself (she can even fly in space, able to pull in a bubble of atmosphere around her), and can use wormholes to travel from point-to-point over thousands of miles in the blink of an eye.

Weaknesses: In her armour, she is all but invincible. Out of it, she is average in every single respect, with no powers or even any particularly advanced skills.

Training: Shanti was aware of the armour having its own consciousness from the moment she put it on, but it has taken may years of meditation while wearing it, for the two minds to become closer to being one. She requires no other training other than the symbiotic relationship she possesses with her armour.

Equipment, Gadgets and Ancient Relics: Besides the armour, Vortex requires no other equipment.

Biography: Shanti's status as a meta-human did not manifest until the war with the aliens had already begun. Growing up in the Punjab region of Western India, her home-town was one of the first to be obliterated by the invading fleet. A teenage refugee, with all her family dead but for her, Shanti knew little but fear and grief, as she fled the advancing alien front line, all the way to some undisclosed location in Iran. Forced to flee underground, Shanti found herself lost in an ancient tomb. She remained down in that Labyrinth for long after any human could realistically last without food or water. However, when she emerged, she was in relatively good health, and clad in a strange set of armour.

She was well behind the advance of the alien horde at this point, and she was discovered and attacked by hostile forces shortly after she emerged. Unleashing months of fear and rage in the form of her new powers, Shanti annihilated battalions of them before making her escape. Picked up at the nearest human stronghold of Cairo, Shanti enlisted with the new meta-human alliance immediately. After explaining her story, and giving the brass demonstrations of her new-found abilities, She was accepted, christened 'Vortex' and pushed right to the front-ranks of the meta-human counter attack. She was the perfect vanguard, sweeping away wave after wave of alien soldiers and pulling their ships right out of the sky. Vortex was in the thick of it from that moment on all the way to the final battle. It's impossible to say exactly how much of a body count she racked up during the war, but she certainly garnered a reputation for massive damage.

After the war, Vortex took part in the cursory parades and pageants that followed in the immediate aftermath, but quickly after that faded from the public eye. Her closure, her pride and her grief, were a personal and private affair. She hadn't come from a background of fighting crime or plotting evil schemes that she could now return to. For all her power, her home was still gone, and her loved ones still dead. The nightmare was over, but at the end of it all she was left with the power of a God, but with nothing to wield it in the name of. Vortex travelled the world for a while, her only companion being the enigmatic consciousness that lived inside her armour, a voice that spoke without words, as she searched fro somewhere where she might belong again. Her travels took her to an isolated village on the slopes of a mountain in the Himalayas, where she wiped out an enclave of bandits that had been praying on them. When she turned to see the locals of the village on their knees, blessing her as if she were a Goddess, her emotions were mixed. Shanti certainly didn't see herself as such, but she couldn't help but be flattered, and recognise that these people were vulnerable. Life was simple and quiet here, which she found comforting, and before long Shanti decided to stay for good, making her home further up the mountain, where she remains to this day, only venturing down when needed.

Notes: Shanti does not demand or even encourage worship from the villagers. Still, they pay homage to her all the same, and even some residents from nearby (as areas as sparsely populated as this go) have taken to tracking up to her home as a kind of pilgrimage, to entreat her for aid or else just hoping that she will bless them. The longer she has stayed on the mountain, the more the people who struggle to make lives for themselves here have endeared themselves to her, and she is fiercely protective of them, perhaps to the detriment of her more widespread attachment to humanity. It would take some persuading to get her to abandon these people to go and take part in another war.

.
A sophisticated, antisocial, paranoid, border-line schizophrenic hacker on the edge of insanity, responsible for a technological victory over the alien invaders but suffering from a terminal illness, with a grudge for those who fought alongside him and took all of his fame while he fought for his life in a sick bed. Plus he also has a specific hatred towards the chairman, who bankrolled the league during the war, has most of the league in his pocket and is now one of the most influential and powerful men alive on earth.

I sense great fun with this one. Unstable personalities are fun to read, especially if the player is a gifted writer.

West African vodun seemed to have priestess be the head honcho, and I wanted to use that version of voodoo since I like Papa Legba. So there's at least a reason, I'm not just trying to be weird this time.

Also I was worried "Death is my *****, and I'm immune to pain" was a bit too powerful. Guess I can go harder? >_>

EDIT: I know now that there are high priests and regular priests, but I was too tired to acknowledge it and now we're in too deep. So I'm just going to keep him a transgender and hope I don't offend anyone.

Character Sheet:

Birth Name: James Hatchel

Name (and other nicknames): Static.

Age: 37

Race: American.

Appearance:
In costume; Black material with wires and spots of hyper conductive material in several places on the suit. Head and hands left free. Formfitting expanding backpack with built in WiFi detectors and antenna. Hair spiky and sparks hopping between them.

Out of costume; Tall middle weight white man with spiky brown hair. Eyes are milky white like he is blind but he isn't. Left hand is missing his pinky and his right arm has old burns and deep scars running from on his hand to up to his shoulder, also across his back to almost his spine.
Usually wearing high laced boots and jeans his old habit of only wearing a vest has changed to wearing long sleeve shirts and coats to hide the scars. When not wearing his costume he keeps the electrical power inside him suppressed so his hair doesn't spark.

Cameras are unable to get a clear picture, usually the best they can get is an oval of snow which moves around. For other sensors its hit or miss if they will see him, the electricity which is always running in him and the higher amount I static electricity in the air around him causes the problems with electronic sensors and such.

Personality:
Originally a cold blooded loner he would kill anyone and do anything to get what he wanted. This was evident by the immense bounty that was put on his head by the united states and many other country's in the world.
After the invasion his temperament mellowed. Unsure if from working with the other supers or because he was saving the world he is less likely to kill and even when someone gets in his way now he is just as likely to tazer them and continue on.
Still mostly a loner he does see the people who went through the invasion with him as people he can kinda rely on. Which is more than he has had since he was young.

Alignment:
Super-villain. Lawful evil. Before the invasion he was a loner who would do commissions for other super-villains if they could find him and killing a normal or even a superhero was fine with him.

After the invasion and his sudden celebrity status he disappeared after his wounds were mostly healed and will still take commissions but now it is from any who was with him in fighting the Aliens, cheaper than others who find him. Killing is still a small thing for him but he does try to keep it to a minimum now because he helped save the world, and those who live in it.

Powers: Electrokinesis, electricity avatar(body able to become electricity and move about like that.)
Sub-powers; perfect memory, small amount of technomancy, data reading, puppeteer.

Powersource: A small genetic defect which was amplified when some tests at an underground lab went wrong and he was dropped onto a generator large enough to power a city just as a wave of radiation swept over the lab. His body would have died from either one but both cause his body to mutate.

Strengths:
Most suited for breaking and entering to steal, a swell as hacking or getting into secure places to destroy, steal or add information.

If he is conscious than he can turn the part of his body about to get hit by an attack into electricity so that nothing happens.

Able to create huge amounts of electricity by himself and control outside sources also.

Can overtake a persons nervous system with his electromancy and have them do simple actions. this ranges from having someone turn and standing for up to one hour after he is gone, or walking along and doing something for about 5 minutes. If he can no longer supply the power to override their own nervous system than they will be released after a short amount of time, the less time the more they do things.

Weaknesses:
If unconscious or unable to see the attack he in not able to turn so he will take the damage.

Even with knowing Muay Thai he is still fairly weak and without his other powers would be pretty easy to win over.

Unable to create unlimited electricity by himself.

In water he himself cant create electricity because it would be sucked off and ground out.

Unable to puppeteer supers, their nervous system is harder to access and even for him impossible to control. maximum amount of time he can control someone unwilling is one hour. this is if they stand in place and dont move. for someone moving the time can be as low as one minute depending on how active they are.

Training:
trained in Muay Thai since he was a child, learned at a Muay Thai dojo next to where he lived.
self taught in hacking and computer use, supplemented by some lessons by other supers during the invasion.

Equipment, Gadgets and Ancient Relics:
Combat/evil doings; WiFi sensor and also military grade WiFi/radio receiver.
Normal; high grade smart phone with super-villain grade security. has contact info for other supers and also people who have given him the most jobs over the years.

Biography:
Born to a woman he never met with a man she never knew, James was all of 7 days old when his mother walked up and handed him to a stranger on the street before walking off. After the flurry of calls to police and hospitals and some running to try to catch up he was given to child services and after a few foster family's he was eventually dropped into an orphanage at the tender age of 5. Before his 6th birthday he didn't show any signs of being any different, but then he started being able to give very precise answers to even hard questions. Some testing with a few doctors and social scientists came to show he had perfect recall. He had random tests with the scientists for the next 8 years and was able to remember every detail of anything he had ever done, seen or heard since he was 6.

When he was in his minority, about 7 years old, he left the orphanage and found himself in a Muay Thai dojo just a few blocks from the orphanage. After watching for almost an hour he ran back home and spent the next few weeks remembering the movements and actions he had seen and almost perfectly replicating them. But he found he wasn't able to replicate everything and after another few weeks he realized it wasn't because his memory was faulty, but because his body couldn't follow what he wanted to do. The very next day he ran back to this dojo and walking in he walked right up to the teacher and told him that his body couldn't follow what his mind wanted. The man laughed at first but after James showed him a few of the things he was able to do the man decided to take him in and teach him as best he could.

Being shown the basic exercises and told that he needed to make his body grow James spent hours and hours a day for years working himself ragged his body was able to keep up then speed up the movements he had tried years ago to try and master. When he was about 15 year old he stepped into the dojo and asked to see everything that could be taught. 4 hours later he walked out and never went into it again. First training his own body so the kicks and elbows and strikes were part of his fighting instincts he then went farther and started finding new strategy and ways to use his new found techniques.

Because of his perfect recall when he was 19 he was invited to join a research project as a note taker and make sure everything went as it should, using his perfect recall to make sure nothing was left out of the reports being sent to the higher ups. UN-knowing to him it was a research project by a criminal organization who was looking to hack the energy plants around the globe via the energy they created. Unfortunately a superhero heard about it and with the help of several others broke in and wrecked the project and everything in it, causing it to collapse. James was standing a few floors above a massive generator when the whole compound started to crumble and fall into itself. Falling through the floors a hero made the thermo nuclear in the bottom floor of the compound explode. Flooding the whole of the compound with radiation the hero's escaped just in time with about half of the workers. But James wasn't as lucky, he landed on the faulty generator and was zapped with almost 500 million volts of electricity as the radiation hit him. Either enough to kill him they canceled each other out, almost, and instead of dying his body absorbed the electricity and actually turned into electricity. He lay there almost dead for days before a rescue operation could get in and try to get any survivors out. He was the only one left, and when he finally woke up the overpowering amount of power he now had caused him to kill everyone in the hospital he had been staying in while he rested. Everyone in that building died from electrocution, heart failure or they just exploded.

Stumbling out of that hospital and into a city half way across the country from where he had been James remembered clearly that it had been superheros that had invaded and destroyed the compound he had been in. Stumbling through the city he found several news stands and reading up on the matter found out who he had been working for and what had happened in more details. Unfortunately for those who were near the anger at what had happened caused another huge spike which flashed out like an emp, but this one was enough that hundreds of humans in over 200 yards in all directions died in several peculiar ways. Running away and finding a mostly alone place to hide he spend a year living off of the bare minimum and using his new found powers every day, training himself in both his Muay Thai and powers. When he was 21 he left where he had been hiding out and went on a 2 week long crime spree in which he at least one bank was robbed a day and on top of that jewelery stores and other high price stores where technology or other things were kept. Hundreds died and when it was all over the city was under martial law, scouring the city for either the man responsible or the loot. Never knowing that before the last day had ended everything he had taken was moved out of that city and thousands on miles to the east. Using the money and selling some of the jewelry to fences he set himself up in a middle size house as well as some special modifications kept on in the secret. Getting some new papers and adding himself in the retrospect so it would be impossible to know he wasn't who the papers said he was.

Over the next years until the invasion he would take trips all around the globe. Getting in touch with some people via fences he worked with and some other characters he had moderate involvement in he started taking jobs for murder, theft, minor and major spy craft of both national and corporate and finally some body guarding. All of these were marked with carnage and death, several websites trying to keep track as best they can the numbers and ways he had killed over the years.
When the invasion happened he was found and even, for a short time, trapped by some of the other super-villains to be asked into helping to fight the invaders. When the deal was sweetened with amnesty for all the crimes he had committed or would commit in fighting them he agreed and even through himself into fighting them.

The last battle was the worst, and the only one to injure him. When the mother ship exploded the resulting shock wave knocked him out and in this state he was hit with a myriad of shrapnel and other things. His back was torn up on the left wide as well as his left arm and taking off a finger on his right hand. A wave of energy hitting him caused his eyes to lose all color and make him look blind. He spend almost 7 months in rehab and in a hospital as he healed and the shrapnel was taken out of him.

Waking up to be one of the hero's of the world James had a very hard time understanding what was going on. Both the hero's and villains who had been with him were now the closest he had ever had to family, comrades who had lived like he did through the impossible. He stayed in the hospital till he was well and there was no more reason to stay. No one outside of the group that had survived knew a way to contact him or where to look he vanished, fading into the city via traveling through the electrical lines and when he finally came out the shear shock of how many people knew his nickname and the commodities and other things that came out about him as much as the others who had lived almost gave him a heart attack. No real name or face given the nature of his injury's were kept secret by the coalition who had looked after the winners for the many months they needed to recover, but his suit and powers were out there and everyone knew he had helped.

Going back to his home he found that his house was still together and even not very molested from the rioting. Settling in to it and taking some years living a normal(ish) life he was amazed at how much the world still loved and wanted to know more about the heroes who had saved the earth, the huge resources that were brought to bare looking for more about them was staggering. 5 years after the invasion was done James met with several of the others and had a small meet and greet with them.

After leaving that meeting he decided that he should get back into work. Letting it trickle out that Static was back in the business he got an overwhelming amount of requests to just show up and let himself be interviewed. Ignoring those and taking a few of the jobs he would have in the past many were surprised when instead of myriads of people dying, many of the people who were between James and what he wanted didn't die, but many were stunned and even more so unlike before where many innocents were killed just because they were to close there was little to no deaths in any of the jobs he undertook.
Notes:
puppeteer; Only able to take control of someone he can see, and when they leave his sight they will follow their "programming" until the excess electricity he had implanted inside them wore out. Only a small amount of energy is able to be added or a human will burst or burn up. Once they have gotten through his "programming" it is exponentially harder for him to do it again, for up to the next year.

The Bio was really long so i split it up to before and after the invasion.

It's fine by me, but be more specific about your powers. What I understood from your powers was that you could transfer injuries on yourselves onto others - that should be limited to your underlings - and also save allies using the same technique. This, however, cannot be used when and if the injury is life-threatening and deadly, in which case you die horribly. Is it a passive or an active ability? Do you need to be aware of the impending doom to use it?
What does it mean that you grow stronger every battle? Please explain yourself..."if he must fight, the longer it wears on the more powerful he becomes" - what is he, a super-saiyan?
Zombie Cyborgs is pushing the limits of wackiness... What other relationships do you have with this mad scientist?

Dude. Dude.
Dude.
He's a mass-murderer. The sheer scope of the destruction would have ought to tip off nearby superheroes and make them go after him to stop him from killing even more people. Did he have nasty encounters with other superheroes? How did he feel when he killed hundreds of people by accident? How did being an abandoned orphaned influence his psyche? Why didn't he want to reveal himself to the world or work for 'good'? How did people feel towards the supervillain when he returned to his old ways? What did the other metahumans do in response? etc. etc.
The powers are alright, but something is troublesome - how can he turn only spe ific body parts that are about to get hit into electricity? Shouldn't he just turn all of himself into a flow of electrons instead of just one part? How is that even possible?

for those first 2 mass murder's, it was mostly spontaneous and even if superhero's were alerted and came to see what was happening there would be nothing to see since he would be gone and no indication of who did it or even how.

some nasty encounters but he didn't die and he either was unable to kill them or he ran before it got worse.

he didn't reveal himself or go good because both his past and interest's didn't go in that direction.

many were not very mad at it, because unlike before where there were dead everywhere now the only ones who die are those who are more than annoying.

there were super-human's who went after him, most of them who didn't fight during the invasion, but he would just go around them or wait till they weren't guarding what he was going for. and for the ones who went after him and get to him in the middle of a job he would try to tazer, or lock in a cage of lightning which would dissipate after a while but would do enough damage that trying to force your way out would result in death or being paralyzed.

if someone is going to fire a gun at him he would turn the area they are pointing at into electricity. its not a pinpoint turning into it.
when he is turning something of himself into electricity he is loosening the electrical bonds between the atoms and letting the electrons flow more freely, which looks like lightning and would also feel like it. to do the reverse, he tightens the bonds between atoms and reconstructs his body where he had changed it.

Birth Name: Jake Clarckson

Name (and other nicknames): The Knight of Liberty

Age: 34

Race: African American.

Appearance: Was once a strong, tall soldier. However, he is now stuck in the 7 feet tall, 5 feet wide prototype power armor. It is rather bulky, but is in the general shape of a human being. The suit only has two fingers and a thumb on each arm. The arms and legs have loud hydraulics just under the armor plating, weapons attached to the arms. The shoulders are rounded, which prevent Jake from raising his arms above his head.

The head has several cameras, two electronic ears on the side, a small antenna sticking up from the right side. The "face" is made up two cameras as the eyes, and a talking piece/atmosphere filter were a mouth is supposed to be. There is nothing over the nose.

The entire suit has the red, white, and blue, plus two stars on the shoulders. Even after Jake learned to deal with the suit, the coloring annoys him.

Personality: The war wasn't kind on him. He saw what depths humanity would sink to in desperation. What it did to the invaders, or other people, Jeff learned the very hard way that the world isn't kind. The imprisonment within the armor has only made his world view more pessimistic. Depression has hit the hero hard, and has made him think of suicide. It has made him cynical to the core. Yet, Jake still fights for what is good, to try to make the terrible remains of the world a better place.

Alignment: Lawful Good superhero, although the lawfulness is forced upon him.

Powers: The exoskeleton gave Jake various weapons. From non-lethal armenments, phoserus gas, a fire supressing foam launcher, and taser rounds. It also also has more lethal weapons, with a 5.56 caliber light machine gun attached to the right arm, a shotgun attached to the left, and a retractable blade. He is able to fire grenade rounds instead of just the white gas, and a flame thrower instead of the foam but it was deemed "overkill" for his post-war policing duties. Jeff is able to equip these items, but needs to be approved of their use before hand.

The power armor is able to lift up to 4 tons (although if what ever he is standing on will support that weight is another matter entirely).

Powersource: The armored power suit around him provides him with all his offensive weapons and mechanical strength. It is powered by a stolen alien battery. An alien attack and the suits medical systems caused the suit to be a part of Jeff.

Strengths: The armor is very tough, strong, and has a lot a fire power.

Weaknesses: The suit has very strict programming limitations on it's use. After the war, it automatically converted to a planned police setting, only allowing him to engage in any kind of illegal activity with sufficient justification. No lethal force on those who are not deemed a threat to Jeff or anyone else. He cannot disobey the government, he must follow every law, down to even simple jaywalking. It will even shut off Jake's ability to talk if it decides he is saying negative things about the US. He has learned to find loopholes to get around the programming, to follow the letter of his orders but ignoring the spirit, but it isn't always enough. The suit also stops Jake from attempting suicide (which is limited to throwing himself off a building or intentionally staying in water), much to Jake's

Any damage the suit cannot be repaired in the field. All repairs are hard and time consuming. Like any computer, the suit can be hacked into (which forces a ten minute long reset period). It also provides no special resistance to magic.

The armor is heavy (1 ton) and not very agile. His punches hit hard, but slow, and hand to hand fighting is predictable and severly limited. While he can run for far longer, even an average human can out run Jake. While the suit is water proof and has an hour's worth of oxygen, Jake cannot swim. The only way to shore is a long trek. Jake fears doing anything far out at sea, fearing he will fall into the water, waiting for an hour to die. Magnetic weapons It also has very little control on how strong Jake grips things in his hands. Having only three fingers to work with is a huge problem in it of it self.

The suit can only work for 16 hours before needing a 6 hour recharge.

Training: Standard military training.

Equipment, Gadgets and Ancient Relics : The Power Armor.

Biography: Jake Clarkson was born in Atlanta. He was just going to go to the military to pay for college, but the world war and the alien invasion put an end to those plans. He was selected for the Powered Armor program, a desperate attempt by the US government to make it so an average soldier could survive the weapons of the invaders, and to end their dependence on the very limited amount of meta-humans. Using several stolen alien technology, including several medical devices, alloys, and power supplies.

Jake was using the suit in it's first human piloted test when the aliens attacked the hidden installation. The suit proved it's combat and armor effectiveness, until a luck rail gun shot was able to break though a weaker point in the armor, bouncing inside. Near death, the armor's medical systems went into action. To keep Jake alive, the computer molded his skin, organ, and skeleton to the inside of the suit. It also made some "improvements," such as moving the brain down into the more armored upper chest area.

Once Jake crawled out of the rubble and was discovered, the damage was irreversible. With all the equipment destroyed almost all the staff killed, all the materials needed to create another set of armor, the project was scrapped. Instead, the US government, over Jake's objections, was made into the Powered Knight. Painted in the red white and blue, proof the government could create a soldier who equaled any superhero, and was able to win the war.

Fight in the war he did. He was a lesser player in the coalition, although try as the government did he never became one of the most popular heroes.

After the war, it was decided for Jake to become a government controlled superhero. Jake was horrified that he was being made into a PR stunt, but he didn't have any choice in the matter.

Connections: The US government keeps Jake strictly under their control, much to his frustration. The pentagon is always keeping tabs on Jake's actions and whereabouts. Other major powers do not trust the US's little pawn, while also attempting to make their own versions.

He hasn't made a lot of friends among the meta-humans. This suit having some twisted human body within it is often hard to accept. Many also judge him for him strictly sticking to the law over doing what is good. Jake only wishes they could understand that he agrees.

Others feel he is "cheating," relying only on technology to gain the powers they gained/trained for/were born with. Jake also hates the really chaotic and evil metahumans, who use and abuse their own powers to better their own position and hurt others in the process. He is friends with Soaring Eagle, who figured out that being encased in a tin isn't a good life, and highly suspects that Jake is enslaved within the armor.

Edit: Changed the name, added to the weaknesses and appearance.

This sounds like fun, here's my character.

Birth Name: Clarissa Rosaline

Name (and other nicknames): Ms. Mood, although enemies refer to her as Ms. Bipolar. She prefers Claire.

Age: 28

Race: Caucasian

Appearance: Standing at 5'5", Claire is slender, with long arms and some noticeable muscles. While out of costume, Claire tries to remain as inconspicuous as possible. Her light-brown hair is tied in a pony-tail, and she is almost never seen in anything fancier than sweatpants, a blue t-shirt, a gray sweater, and white sneakers. She has heterochromia, so one of her eyes appears pale-blue, while the other is a deep red. She hides her eyes under a pair of sunglasses. She can never be seen without a slight smirk.

Her costume is a totally different story, however. Designed to reflect the color of a mood ring, Claire's suit is a mess of colors intermingling with each other. The material is reminiscent of a multi-colored fencer's protective clothing, though much sleeker and lighter. A pair of flat-soled boots go mid-way up her calves. While in costume, she wears a multi-colored face mask which goes from right above the eyes, to her nose. She allows her hair to hang freely.

BLACK - Afraid

YELLOW- Sad/Upset

RED - Angry

GREEN- Calm

BLUE- Happy

ORANGE - Stressed/Nervous

VIOLET - Romantic

Personality: Despite attempts to appear consistently happy, Claire is anything but. She suffers from frequent and serious mood swings that border on bipolar disorder. The mood swings are believed to be a side effect of her powers, and can range from small shifts in personality to total shifts in mood. Top this off with a moderate case of PTSD, and you have a recipe for trouble. Despite that, Claire attempts to remain friendly, if not a little shy. Unlike other metahumans, Claire does not attempt to stand out in her everyday life, trying as hard as she possibly can to keep her two lives separate from each other. However, when she dons her suit and becomes Ms. Mood, she is far less introverted. The increased use of her powers allow her to better control her emotions, and she is far more outgoing as a result. She believes in defending people, no matter who they are, and is willing to go to great lengths to accomplish her goals.

Alignment: Chaotic Good. She wants to defend people, no matter what the cost. She will do anything to protect innocent people, including killing.

Powers: Claire has the ability to manifest her emotions into any item of her choosing (think Green Lantern, but with all emotions and without a catalyst). These items can be drawn from any emotion and subsequently take on a color to match her current mood (see the color list above for specifics). These powers can do anything from providing flight, to being used as a weapon itself, and increase with the intensity of Claire's current emotion, which in times of particular intense emotion, manifests itself by creating a sort of aurora in her surrounding area.

Power Source: Her own emotions

Strengths: While her powers provide her with a jack-of-all-trades fighting style, Claire normally manifests her powers into forming a fencing saber, which is stronger and faster than most real life blades. At her strongest, Claire is more than capable of taking down opponents much larger than her.

Weaknesses: While creating more than two objects, or something larger than an airliner, Abigail leaves herself physically weak and unable to properly defend herself. Also, her reliance on her emotions and her mental instability leave her susceptible to attacks on her own emotions.

Training: Claire has many years of fencing experience, and was actually being considered for the US Olympic Team before the invasion.

Equipment, Gadgets and Ancient Relics : Claire has nothing of not save a backpack that she uses as a purse and suitcase. It contains everyday necessities like her wallet, a laptop and charger, and her costume, which is tucked away in a hidden compartment.

Biography: Born in Philadelphia to a working-class family, Clarissa should have been an ordinary girl. The operative word is should. Claire was born with a disorder that caused sudden and violent mood swings. At age 5, she began to develop the ability to create objects just by willing them into being. At first, her abilities were limited to items about the size of her hand. However, they soon began to intensify. Not only did Claire begin producing larger and larger objects, but her abilities also caused the area around her to glow with a different color depending on her moods.

As both of her parents worked, they were unable to home-school Claire, and she had to attend regular classes. This made life very awkward for Claire. While the mood swings alone would be bad enough, she also needed to deal with her individual powers. She found herself on the receiving edge of many harsh taunts and jeers, until one terrible incident in which she severely injured one of her attackers. From that point on, the other kids avoided Claire, too afraid to approach her. Instead of other children, Claire found her company in books and comics. She was particularly fascinated with magic and superheroes, which she felt a sort of connection to. Left to her own thoughts, Claire began to weave multitudes of worlds together, occasionally going so far as to make her dreams realities. Though she began doing that less and less as she found how draining it was.

Things improved slightly when Claire entered middle school. By this point, not just had she developed a better grasp on her powers, but a doctor had suggested she take up a sport as a way to channel her emotions. With her parents support (and a lot of money), Claire joined a local fencing program, where she excelled. She would cruise through most of her middle and high school careers on fencing, becoming so good that she was actually scouted for the US Olympic Team. Though any Olympic dreams were crushed by the onset of the invasion.

When the aliens first arrived, and the metahuman league was formed, Claire-still basically a child-attempted to stay under the radar, intent on leading a normal life. That was, until the war came to her doorstep. When the first ships began to appear over Philadelphia, Claire found herself forced to defend her home. Still harboring dreams for a regular life, she grabbed her old fencing guard and Halloween mask, and took to the streets as Ms. Mood. Over time, her costume would get more distinct as she began to dye it with the colors that she managed to produce while fighting, until it looked like a rainbow had exploded on it. Eventually, she managed to attracted the attention of the League, who recruited her to fight with them. She would spend the rest of the war fighting on the front. Although an injury prevented her from participating in the final attack on the mother-ship, she still participated in some of the toughest battles of the conflict.

When the conflict ended, Claire attempted to return to her normal life, or what was left of it. The invasion had changed much of the life she had known, including demolishing parts of her old neighborhood. However, try as she might, Claire could not go back to her old life. Her memories of the war would not let her be, and her short stint as Ms. Mood left Claire with the urge to go back out. It started simply, just dealing with crime or helping to rebuild post-invasion Philly, but it soon began to grow from there, spreading to neighboring cities.

Claire had no desire to make her life public however. As Clarissa, she was a normal student. She graduated high school with little fanfare, than went on to pursue her English major at a local college. However, as Ms. Mood, she was a symbol of justice, best known for cleaning up crime in her area of operation. While not a particularly prevalent metahuman, Ms. Mood still gained considered renown, and, with the help of her fame, became a strong advocate for better mental health care in the US. Using money she received from interviews and public appearances (as Ms. Mood), Claire was able to pay her entire college tuition off.

After graduating college, Claire, with the aid of "trust-fund money"-went off to travel the world as a way of, "gaining inspiration" for a planned book. However, around the same time as Claire left Philadelphia, so did Ms. Mood. She now pops up in multiple locations around the globe, fighting threats of all shapes and sizes, and her global popularity has never been higher. While her true identity is subject to fierce speculation, no one expects that Ms. Mood is really the mild-mannered aspiring author. Clarissa Rosaline, and that's exactly as Claire wants it. She is currently located in Paris, France, and is working on the transcript for her first book.

Notes: Claire is left-handed. On her right leg is a scar that she received during the invasion. She also doesn't own a permanent residence, as she travels around a lot.

How is that even possible?
for those first 2 mass murder's, it was mostly spontaneous and even if superhero's were alerted and came to see what was happening there would be nothing to see since he would be gone and no indication of who did it or even how.

some nasty encounters but he didn't die and he either was unable to kill them or he ran before it got worse.

he didn't reveal himself or go good because both his past and interest's didn't go in that direction.

many were not very mad at it, because unlike before where there were dead everywhere now the only ones who die are those who are more than annoying.

there were super-human's who went after him, most of them who didn't fight during the invasion, but he would just go around them or wait till they weren't guarding what he was going for. and for the ones who went after him and get to him in the middle of a job he would try to tazer, or lock in a cage of lightning which would dissipate after a while but would do enough damage that trying to force your way out would result in death or being paralyzed.

if someone is going to fire a gun at him he would turn the area they are pointing at into electricity. its not a pinpoint turning into it.
when he is turning something of himself into electricity he is loosening the electrical bonds between the atoms and letting the electrons flow more freely, which looks like lightning and would also feel like it. to do the reverse, he tightens the bonds between atoms and reconstructs his body where he had changed it.
.
O-kay. Could he kill again if asked to? *hint* *hint*

Birth Name: Jake Clarckson

Name (and other nicknames): The Powered Knight

Age: 34

Race: African American.

Appearance: Was once a strong, tall soldier. However, he is now stuck in the 8 feet tall, 5 feet wide prototype power armor. It is rather bulky, but is in the general shape of a human being. The suit only has two fingers and a thumb on each arm, only there for

Personality: The war wasn't kind on him. He saw what depths humanity would sink to in desperation. What it did to the invaders, or other people, Jeff learned the very hard way that the world isn't kind. The imprisonment within the armor has only made his world view more pessimistic.

The power armor is able to lift up to 2 tons (although if what ever he is standing on will support that weight is another matter entirely).

He has learned to find loopholes to get around the programming, but it isn't always enough.

Jake was horrified that he was being made into a PR stunt, but he didn't have any choice in the matter.
.
I have the feeling that this is a combination between Crysis 3 and Robocop, with a smidgen of captain america.

You need to rework the sheet. Appearance is cut off in the middle, for example. Could he have a more 'american' superhero name? It fits well with his bio. Could he work against his programming if pushed to the edge? Is he suicidal? Could he even kill himself?

A pretty young woman travelling the world to gain inspiration for a book, but by night she dons he costume and fights crime? Neat!
The Bio have some problems - if she showed such awesome super abilities, how did it not go public (when she was growing up) and other metahumans didn't find interest in her? Nothing from the government, secret organizations or private metahumans... how did she stay so safe from harm if she could do MAGIC and conjure items from thin air?
Should I expect her to fight like a green lantern would?

It will be hard to put her abilities in perspective and limit it. She is in the Stranger's caliber of strength. She could easily roflstomp ANY of the heroes and villains around her. You need to be more specific with her powers and limit it in certain ways. Sitting in the end of the world and enjoying herself as the goddess of a little village leaves her out of the picture - why would she go out and fight when she is content with her life? Her armor will have connections with in-game lore, and if accepted I will tell you my plans for it privately. Even though she is powerless without her armor, why would she ever take it off?

Note about the Bio - although New Delhi was destroyed by the invaders, much of the fighting in the region was between India and Pakistan, and the aliens continued with their assault only after the world was already plunged in a world war. They studied their history of earth before attempting to conquer it. This detail would require you rewrite the beginning of your character history.

I had a thought about this in the preceeding time since I wrote it. Perhaps she is unwilling to cut loose to the fullest extent of her powers unless absolutely necessary, because she can only maintain control of them to a certain degree. Like, for example, she can create a black hole, but if she let's it get too big, it becomes self-sustaining and she can't keep hold of it, meaning it will just keep going and devour anything inn its path. I could include in the bio how, in areas where she fought in the war, massive alien casualties often coincided with massive collateral damage.

How does that sound?

I'm not saying that she would never leave the village to get involved in something again, just that it would take some convincing from the other meta-humans to get her back on board. If the cause was big enough, she'd still bestir herself to protect the innocent, she'd just be less inclined to take sides in the other meta-human's personal infighting.

As for the armour? Well, it would be impractical for her to wear it all the time. She can hardly sleep or take a wash in it.

Less facetiously though, I already mentioned how the armour has a mind of its own and 'bonds' with her own personality, a symptom of which can be lengthy, medatitive states where she's practically unaware of her surroundings. Perhaps this effect get's more potent the longer she wears the armour, so if she never took it off she'd eventually end up slipping into a coma?

What if she's emotionally unstable and lashes out with all of her strength? Could anything stop her then?
The collateral damage idea is good.

I imagine her as some mysterious guru that people seek so she could help them in their quest... What kind of 'mind' does the armor have? How does it interact with her? Is she meditating while wearing the armor or afterwards? Can she control it? Is it to relax or is it forced on her because of prolonged use? Then wouldn't she just remove it and put it back on to avoid it?

Well, that's part of why she's lived so much of her life post-war in seclusion, so nobody has to find out. Of course, that might not stop some people from trying.

What kind of 'mind' does the armor have? How does it interact with her? Is she meditating while wearing the armor or afterwards? Can she control it? Is it to relax or is it forced on her because of prolonged use? Then wouldn't she just remove it and put it back on to avoid it?
The armour isn't so much a distinct, individual personality and intellect. It's closer to the One Ring, only less malevolent. There's a benign, subtle sense that the armour has a will of its own, and is connected to something far greater than a human mind. Given enough time, the armour and its host become more and more in synch, giving the host far greater mastery of their powers, at the cost of no longer being certain if they still have free will, or if their decisions are being made for them.

As for the meditative state, the answer to a lot of those questions is 'both'. She can choose to do it, as it helps her synchronise more with the armour and gain greater control of her power, but sometimes it just happens and she can't help it. It only happens while she's wearing the armour, and while she can avoid it by removing the armour, taking it off just for a second and the donning it again doesn't help. Also, the effect is cumulative. Every time she dons the armour again, it becomes just a little bit more invasive, just a little bit sooner, than it did before, so she has to be disciplined if she doesn't want to completely lose touch with humanity.
