True freedom blows. The ability to do whatever you want also brings with it the responsibility to suffer consequences for all your actions. I'm not saying that people shouldn't have freedom, but that a line should be drawn (as it is now).Easykill said:True freedom.

True freedom is basically a different way to say Ultimate power, just with a different connotation over how it would be used. If you have to suffer the consequences, then fascism is ultimate freedom too. So then, freedom is measured in the least amount of negative consequences to an action. To increase the total freedom of everyone, concessions must be made. Anarchy as opposed to chaos. But still, true freedom, true power, is alluring to us. We just don't want other people to have it.stompy said:True freedom blows. The ability to do whatever you want also brings with it the responsibility to suffer consequences for all your actions. As for me, I say that people want contentment, or happiness. What this is, or how they achieve this, is up to the individual.
Right, I see... actually, I think I'm going to change my answer; instead of happiness, I'm going to say people want the ability to not face the (negative) consequences of their actions. That way, they would be able to do whatever they pleased, and obtain whatever they want.Easykill said:Post

Well Said.Michael_McCloud said:The main goal in most people's lives boils down to satisfaction. How they achieve it can differ, though. Some folks like money and power, others crave simplicity. Some want to be protected, other want to protect. Some people can't be made happy unless they've sown chaos into the world, or have gone on a murderous rampage.
Put short, we all want happiness, usually through attention, affection, and acquiring something grand in the course of our lives. How we accomplish those is entirely up to us.
