I'd probably keep playing. It's safer away from the trees or something.

Go back to the clubhouse quickly but without hurrying.
Chances are slim, so I wouldn't panic, but there is a risk so I wouldn't stay there, either.

Sit in the cart and wait until it passes. Or see how far the lightning is away, and just keep golfing. Or, if we've already got through most of the course, just call it a day.

Stop, drop and pull your knees to your chin in panic.

Optional: Piss the pants.

Count the amount of seconds between the thunder and lightning twice to determine if the storm is coming or moving away. Either way it will probably rain soon so I get inside.

Sit next to a tree. If there are no trees, because the course blows, then I'd go back to the clubhouse for a drink or 7, because chances are I'm sober again.

Head to the nearest building and wait the storm out. Lighting can strike up 100 miles away from the storm it is coming from. So if you are seeing it then it is time to take shelter.

If the lightning is near, I run very very fast to the clubhouse while thinking "hang on, why the fuck was I playing golf? I hate golf"

If i was playing golf and there was lightning i....no...sorry....can't do it. I don't play golf and never will. How about, i am using a golf club to pound a kitten to death in my back garden and there is lots of lightning. Well, i would run inside and stay away from the lightning as clearly its a sign i should repent and end my kitten clubbing spree. But seriously, why would i play golf? The nearest i get is the odd game of Tiger woods and lightning has no effect then.

(no kittens were hurt in the writing of this post)

I'd keep playing. Heck, I'd golf from inside the cart to keep the rain off of my head.
