I forgot moria brown, she's funny in a ignorent kooky way, and and niko beliec, best eastern europe/ russian steryotype ever
I'm still not sure about moira brown. Started playing fallout 3 the other day and I can't decide if her mental humour makes up for her annoying voice! I did like Niko when he was being insane and remorseless, but when he starts growing a conscience he becomes frustrating.

Fairly self explanatory, what character in a game have you actually found yourself liking? A lot of the time they can be rather samey or boring (see Alex Mercer), and some are downright annoying (you know who you are, Navi), but there must be a few endearing characters out there. So who are they and why did you find them likable?

This would usually be the point where I would offer one myself, but I actually can't think of any right now. Apart from maybe Squall and Rinoa from FFVIII, mostly because their interactions can be pretty amusing.
Cecil from FFIV and Jade from beyond good and evil.
Revan from (do i really need to clarify this?)
-Edit- Also Strelok (Redrick Schulhart).

Sort of mysterious, shy, but rather powerful character, It's never stated whether Vivi is male or female, thought that was kind of quirky.

I'd say Minsc from Baldur's Gate II - he's got a good heart, is awesome in combat, and has some of the funniest dialogue I've ever seen in a game. Also, he has Boo. And Boo is awesome.

[sub]I want a Miniature Giant Space Hamster too.[/sub]

The writer?
WRONG
Into the pit of Crocodiles with you!

Next?
The protagonist of Mr. Robot: number 1138!

I'm surprised that Alyx Vance hasn't been mentioned yet. All of the Team Fortress 2 characters of course. I'm pretty sure I wouldn't like them, you know, as people, but as characters they're hilarious. And GLaDOS. Gotta love GLaDOS. Seconding Jade from Beyond Good & Evil, too; in fact, she might be my favorite videogame character period.

The goo balls from World of Goo. It's sort of hard not to like them, despite all of the dismemberment although I don't know if I'd really call them characters.

Crassius Curio from Morrowind. He was 'friendlier' and generally more likeable than the other NPCs because he had a bit of personality and wasn't all 'OMG, you're Player 1! Sign my Guar plz!' , even if I did have to take my clothes off to talk to him.

The wizard from Trine, who seems to be running around in his robe and boxers. Any wizard who who goes on an epic quest without bothering to put trousers on first and spent his time at wizard school making fake fireball spells to impress the ladies automatically wins points.

You honestly expect me to narrow it down? I mean, come on.

Colette, Zelos, Emil, Marta...hell, most of the characters of Tales of Symphonia.
Dante (Devil May Cry 3)
Almost every main heroic character of Fate/Stay Night and Tsukihime (and some of the villains).
Kouhei Kagami of A Drug That Makes You Drea--

Wait.

Oh, forgot to mention this in the OP, but try to explain why you like said character. :)
What?! But I'd be here all day! *sigh* Fine...

She's definitely a badass, dedicated to her duty both of fighting in the Holy Grail war, and earlier, when she was a king, which gives her a stubbornness that she will succeed at whatever she's doing and a very strong competitive streak even outside of battle that tends to surprise people. Despite that, she's also a genuinely kind and caring person, selfless almost to a fault (well...Shirou would debate the "almost"), and charmingly oblivious to a few social niceties that conflict with her goal...

Looker from Platinum, Midna, Link, Sheik, Ganon, Navi, and Linebeck from the Zelda games, Vael and Garfaz Steelfur from Guild Wars, and Luigi from Mario. There's probably more but I can't think of any. I always seem to like the weird characters, such as the underdogs or anti heroes. As for Link, Navi, Sheik, and Ganon, I shouldn't have to explain why I like them.

Naked Snake... when you look at it, John seemed the most human character through the whole MG series. After Snake Eater, you can just kinda understand how he ended up the way he did. Unlike Solid who I just can't empathise with. I guess in the end of it, I just really liked how John was so badass, yet remainded human and vulnerable.

I fell on the floor laughing when that happened. Hmm, a likable character would probably be Garrett from Thief. He's such a dashing rogue.
