I remember I bought this game the day it came out. It has been a huge artistic inspiration since I have always been really into dark fantasy art to begin with.

Gonna be interesting to replay this... I remember the mood it created was really oppressive and uncomfortable, with moments that would have been awesome in another game being gross and disquieting.

My Achievement Obsession I had at the time, the 'finish in one sitting dying 5 times or less' achievement and the aforementioned oppressive atmosphere led to some pretty unpleasant gaming session until I finally got it.

I remember playing it right around the time the ZP came out. And yeah it was all dark and depressing and whatnot, but it just sorta' poofed away. I was all 'Oh man, so ending much feels' for all of the time it took me to walk to the kitchen to get a Mike's Hard Lemonade.

Maybe I should go back and replay it...
