I have dual boot Linux Ubuntu and Windows XP. I preferred using Linux in every way, but I ended up coming back to windows since many of my games played poorly or not at all on Linux/Wine.

Limited experience with Mint. Until the really old PC it was testing it on had a hard drive failure. Oh well, not like I was really using it for more than just messing around, got my rig with Win7. I Suppose I'll try Linux again when I buy a new drive.

It really bothered me how many fucking passwords I needed to enter. Jesus Christ, I couldn't open programs without entering a password, and this is AFTER I put in a password to log on (Which I couldn't find a way to disable).

Ah, a thread for Linux users. Tell me, strange creatures, doth thou exotic customs command you to own (1) or more penguins, as rumored?
You get one for free with installation! But they explode when you uninstall. Still cleaning the walls.

I have a copy of ARCH in here somewhere, but I'm afraid to touch it right now.

ARCH is a bad place for beginners.
Used to use Arch until I learned a valuable lesson about backing up config files before you do a large update. It is a great OS if you know what your doing and have the time for it.

Right now I got Ubuntu on the family laptop, however I think I'll be putting Fedora 15 on it and my desktop alongside Win7, as I prefer the new Gnome 3 environment over Unity. Though I hope Gnome3 does become more customisible than it is now, otherwise I'll miss showing off with wobbly windows and desktop cube.
