you have just been drafted( /involuntarily volunteered. ) back in 1940 ( round and about )
for the second world war!

and you get to bring a buddy.
so escapists? who ( real persons only, people you know preferably ) do you want next to you in your foxhole when the crafty allies/zealous germans ( whichever takes your fancy ) start shooting at you?

i personally would like my friend Thasnor next to me, and he'd better bring rifle XD
( id'go for a BAR or a light mg42(drum fed ) myself, depending on what side we are on ofcourse.
( id follow him like he's a miners canary, he has this way of being on the winning side XD )

edit: since no one wants to throw their mates in the cacky with them ( go escapists!, honorable buch ;) )
imagine them already having to go, but you get to keep em close.

Well, I'd take Sam, my friend. Because I'll probably die, knowing bugger all about guns...
And I'd rather die with somebody I know.

My friend, Robert, who's already in the army.

I wouldn't have to worry about him cracking, as he's probably already pretty cracked.

Someone who's already been drafted. It would be kind of a dick move to drag someone else with me to war.

My friend Jonesy. He's my friend and all. Plus he's a pretty tough guy and he knows a lot about, uh, fighting, and stuff. We'd probably still die, though, but he'd make dying a little more fun. I very much doubt I'd be asked to fight though, ever. They'd have to be very desperate. I'm not even male, for one. Or anywhere near old enough.

I'd take my philosophy professor because most of war is being bored.

Weapon of choice? Blunderbuss.

I'll bring my friend Shawn. Annoying him has been a personal hobby of mine for at least 3 years now and this should just piss him right the f*ck off.

I would have 'Fighting' Jack Churchill beside me... nothing like a man with a huge sword... and a bow and arrows.
But seriously, they'd focus on him, while I could tactically retreat, then use my superior mind to outwit the foe.

I'd take Alex.

He's a bit of a boffin about planes and if I am to join the Second World War, I fancy the idea of joining the RAF in the Battle of Britain for some reason... probably cause I watched a documentary about it yesterday :p

My best Mate Dave.

We were in the Air Training Corps together and are both hoping to join the RAF anyway!
Also, He's one of the most athletic people I know whilst i'm quite a good shot with a rifle.

I'd say me and him would make a good scout team.

Well, I reckon I'd make an alright pilot. Until I get distracted by birds...
