I'm playing Fallout 3 again due to the PS3 getting DLC soon *jumps with joy*

I'm going through with negative karma and I've read you can make Moria give up on the survival guide, but I've not idea how, fallout wikia says you need a high speech mines about 76, but th option never comes along.

So, anyone know how I can crush her dreams?

Shoot her in the face repeatedly ?
But I think it comes up near the end, you can convince her to get rid of all the research work etc.

After the first chapter you can talk to her about what she is trying to accomplish with all this, then tell her it is pointless and she should do something else, if you pass the speech check enemy critical chances are reduced by 50% on you. You will be missing out on the survivor perks though, with the best two raising your critical chance by 5% or your DR by 5%

Just go through all the dialogue options with her, it'll show up eventually.
Yeah it did, it's just a little bit long winded

Can do it after the first 1/3 of a chapter, I've gone through it various times with various results, just wanted to do it this way for once, I'm playing a villain after all.

Anyway, thanks for getting back so quickly, much appreciated.

Those are pretty good. But Moria starts working on her repair and (I think) jumps up 30 points. She also gets more caps so you can sell more things to her and if I remember correctly she also gets more to sell to you. I personally would recommend telling her to quit, then disarming the bomb then a genocidal purge of next four towns you run into to balance out the good karma you got. Tenpenny Tower actually sucks. The shop owners don't know how to repair (not well anyway), they have a terribly low amount of caps, and their supplies are limited. Moria is the best shop owner Fallout 3 knows.

I thought you could do it after all the research so you can still keep all the perks from the Guide Quest

I prefer Crow he has mucho crap & the best repair I think.
I am pretty sure Moria gets better than Crow if you tell her to give up the guide.
