The constant references to earlier Tiberian games that C&C3 made. One example is that the Nod Emissary will display a holographic image of an FMV sequence from Tiberian Sun.

This is a deployed Nod Emissary in C&C3: Tiberium Wars. Notice the holographic image. I know it's a bit hard to see it in this picture but in-game you'll really notice it.

This picture is from an FMV sequence in Tiberian Sun. This is the Emissary's holographic image. You can view the FMV sequence in its entirety below.

They also stuck so many other references to earlier Tiberian series games in there.

The above are a few old vehicles from Tiberian Sun and Tiberian Dawn, recreated exactly as they looked.

There's so many other references EA made to earlier Tiberian series games in Tiberium Wars and Kane's Wrath but I'll leave it to you guys to see them for yourself.

In Fallout 3 (a spiritual successor to Oblivion), there's a pillar in the exact center of the map with the letters TESIV written on it.

.
????

Whereabouts? Are there any landmarks nearby that can help locate it?

Damn, finding out some really interesting things on this thread.
Just west/east of Big town, if I recall correctly. Happy hunting!

ME2:
The Elcor version of Hamlet coming out on video
The Elcor Hamlet had me laughing for ten minutes, I called my friend in to see it, and he just stared blankly at it, and then me. Great stuff though, the salarian game salesman was hilarious too.
I know! It made me laugh so much. There were hundreds of little moments in ME2 that were like that.

The bachelor party on Illium was hysterical too.
I remember that, the Salarian was so confused by our customs. You celebrate love by tempting yourself with debauchery? Such a great game....

I just recalled another one.

In Final Fantasy IX, Zidane looks at a giant sword on the wall in a shop, and mentions that he knows a Spiky Haired Guy that uses those.

Also, the use of a Cid character is a well know wink to other Final Fantasy's.
The Biggs and Wedge characters as well.

I was glad that in Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney, the prequel nods were kept to an acceptable minimum. For example, while Phoenix was in the hospital someone keeps sending him Pink Samurai DVDs. And of course, there is inexplicably continued banter about ladders.
Fixed the bolded line.

ME2 (again), on the Citadel with the Mother & Brother in Law who were arguing about Gene Therapy from the first game are shopping for more splices for the (now born) child.

Emily Wong now presents Citadel News Network after you help her out in the first game. (I always helped her so I'm not sure whether this is still the case if you don't)

Getting to punch the reporter again
Miranda in the elevator: 'Dammit... Why won't this thing go any faster?'
The dead Mako, trapped in Ice... hooray!

Fallout 3:
Ol' Painless (after the doc in Fallout 2)
Harold (char from F1 and 2)
Take "Archangel" and "The Quarian" (achievement names to protect the spoilerees) to the citadel. Classic

The bachelor party is a riot! That bar was full of amusing conversations. The Asari barkeep with the husky voice who was the daughter of a Krogan, I loved that. And the announcement of the Dirty Harry movie starring the Hanar "This one wonders if you consider yourself fortunate," I just about died laughing. I had to reload to get it to play again to see if I heard it right. Then the follow up where the Asari have to apologize for the portrayal of the Hanar. The whole sequence is pretty good.

Mass Effect 2 is so full of stuff like this that it's hard to pick out a select few as my favourites. People have already mentioned the Elcor Hamlet and Conrad Verner, among others, but one that comes to mind for me is Shiala (The Asari Commando you 'rescue' from the Thorian) appearing on Illium (That is, if you let her live in ME1) and even flirting with you at one point. I don't know why this specifically, but I just really liked that.

Another Asari encountered in ME1 that you can choose to shoot or spare makes an appearance when you're recruiting the Krogan, too. There's a third you can make the same decision for in ME2 when you are on the mission to recruit Samara, so I expect to see her again in ME3 too.

In Majora's Mask after the first boss when Tattle asks you "You're pretty good! Are you sure you haven't done this before?"

'I have a mate and a ship, and I only brought one of them to Omega'
I wonder if the Turian will say this if you're male?

I saved her the first time I played. I felt pretty pissed about that after I found her data file. Conniving little... rascal. I'm sure she'll make and appearance in ME3 if you save her.
