I personally can't wait for this game to be released. I'm also rather worried about it because for the most part it will be community-driven, and that either makes it or breaks it. Hopefully I'll be contributing some good puzzle levels that people will enjoy (I've even began drawing some)

So what do you think about LBP? If you're getting it and planning to be building levels to share, will you aim for platforming, puzzles, or a mixture of both?

I have no idea what to expect from it. I'm just going to have to dive right in when it comes out.

I haven't heard a lot about it, but I am extremely interested with the few details I have. It's either going to be the best thing since Pong or a complete flop. I'm actually waiting for it to buy a PS3 (which would be my first next-gen console).

The main problem with what we know so far is that there are not many details on the ways you can create your own stuff. I have yet to see a video showing someone really building something. Maybe I'm just late on the news. If so, can anyone send a link?

if echocrome is a valid example, then we can probably expect overly pretentious and insanely difficult platform levels... think escape route at the end of Metroid and then call it "Existentialistix"

Yeah that's pretty much what I'm going to do as well, I mean, what other option is there for the noobs?

I still have no idea who to pre-order from, is it amazon or gamestop?

EDIT:

Err, nevermind, I guess I'll have to pre-order this 5 times or something...which I won't do but whatever... [http://littlebigplanet.us.playstation.com/post/2008/08/Pre-Order-Details-Amazon--GameStop.aspx]

I can't wait for this game. I don't know how much I'll build myself, that will depend on how easy the tools are to use, but 50 gorgeous level of old school platforming sound good to me.

Yeah the echocrome effect may come in to play here but since you can actively rate levels instead of getting them randomly through dlc it'll help differentiate bad from good a little more.

I would give up all of my Xbox games and Xbox, just to get LittleBigPlanet. It's the type of game i've been waiting so long for, but i just need a PS3 >.<

The game looks simply amazing, and i would love to create my own level.

I really hope this game will be worth the wait, but personally, I think that since they've spent so much time polishing it, it will be amazing. Also, this isn't for the twitchy college frat boy demographic.

WEWT. I'm totally gonna get the Nariko Sackgirl.

yeah, you should play my level. i made the Death Dome from Crystal Castles using the Echocrome editor. it's pretty accurate (minus some changes to the backside due to size constraints) but insanely difficult.

There's going to be about 50 levels or so already in the game, which will serve as a tutorial on how to build things.
